The Carnival

After we leave the waterfalls, Jacob takes all of us back to the house. 

"Hannah, Olivia, and Brooke get dressed we're going back out, you guys have 20 minutes," Keith says. 

That's the first thing Keith has said since I met him. We all climb out of the car and I make my way to the room. 

I go to the closet and get the previous outfit I had on because I absolutely loved that outfit. I put on the blouse and leggings and I curl my hair. 

I throw some makeup on and grab some black converse. I head back down and Olivia is standing there wearing a hoodie and jeans. I smile at her and she smiles back. I walk out of the front door and go find Jacob. 

I spot him standing by the car and I walk up to him. He opens his arms and plants a kiss on my lips. 

"You look beautiful." He says. "Thank you." 

We wait for Hannah, Olivia, and Barry to come out. Keith hasn't moved from the car. 

Olivia comes out followed by Hannah, once they have finished climbing into the car, Barry comes out. 

"Where are we going?" Olivia asks. 

Keith shoots her a look but says nothing. "It's a surprise," Barry says. 

Jacob reaches and grabs my hand. The sparks shoot through my body and I relax. I love the feeling that Jacob gives me. It is amazing and I have never felt anything like it. I guess that's the whole point of a mate right? You only feel these things with them.

I smile at him. I can't believe he is mine. My person. 

I have only known Jacob for a short period of time, but every moment that I spend with him I love him more and more. 

He knows me better than anyone else. 

Just as much as I am his, he is mine, and knowing that brings me so much comfort. He's all I will ever need. As long as I have him, my life will be complete. 

Jacob pulls into a parking lot and turns the car off. 

Everyone gets out and Jacob re-takes my hand. 

He leads us past the wired gate and into the view of a beautifully set up carnival. 

Hannah squeals and Barry laughs. He wraps his arms around her and gives her a kiss. 

The couples break off and go do their own thing which I am thankful for. I've shared enough of Jacob for today. "what do you want to do?" He asks. "I want cotton candy," I say and smile. He laughs and heads towards the cotton candy machine. 

He gets me pink and he gets blue for him. I skip next to him as we walk and eat my cotton candy. 

After a few rides, he needs to go to the bathroom. "I have to pee!" He whines as I tie my shoe. "I am sorry! My shoe untied!" He laughs at me as I stand up. 

"Let's go cry baby." 

He takes my hand and leads me through a crowd of people.

We reach the bathroom and he plants a kiss on my lips. "I'll be back in a flash. He says and winks. I shake my head at him and go stand off to the side. These bathrooms stink.

I stand there and wait for Jacob.

While I am waiting, I text Gabe. 

Hey :)! 

I wait for a response and get one within a few seconds. 

Hey! How are you!? 

Just as I am about to respond, a pair of arms wrap around me, and I am dragged backward. I go to let out a scream but it's muffled by a hand. 

"Don't scream." A voice in my ear whispers. 

I freeze at the voice. How did he find me?

I stop moving, I know it's no use. 

He takes me away from the carnival, I can hear and see it fading the farther we move away. 

Jacob's POV: 

I get out of the bathroom and I don't see Brooke. 

Where did she go?

I look around for her but I don't see her anywhere. 

"BROOKE!" I yell. I spin in a circle and don't see her anywhere. 

I walk farther away from the bathroom and I see her phone on the ground. I pick it up and its cracked. 

Her messages with Gabe were open but she never hit reply. I stand up and put her phone in my pocket. 

I mind link Barry and Keith to get the rest of the pack here. 

Why would I leave her?

I ran back to the car and everyone is already there. 

"Where the fuck is the rest of the pack?" 

"They're on the way." Keith says.

"Well, they need to hurry up! How fucking long does it take?!" 

"Alpha you need to calm down," Hannah says. 

"Calm down?! My mate is fucking MISSING! You calm down!"

The rest of the pack gets here and I tell them the plan.

I know her dad has her. 

He's the only one that would take her from my pack. No one else would ever fuck with my pack.
