Proposal

"Wake up you lazy cow!" I yell and shake Jacob. 

He groans and rolls over, ignoring me. 

"Fine. If you don't want to listen I'll walk downstairs NAKED." I say.

"You wouldn't." He mumbles into the pillow. I take my shirt off. 

"Try me." Pants next.

"BROOKLYNE!" He growls. He picks his head up off the pillow and looks at me. "You were serious." He says and looks shocked. "Get up." I say and pull my shirt back on. 

I put my pants on and he gets up. He heads into the bathroom and I sit on the bed. "Hurry up! You take longer than me!" I yell. He laughs and comes out. "It's not funny you squid, we have things to do today and you are taking ages!" I complain. 

"Oh am I? I didn't notice." He says and slowly walks to the closet. 

"You're impossible!" I face plant into the bed and he laughs. "I swear to the moon goddess you better hurry up." I say and storm out of the room. 

10 minutes later, Jacob comes down into the kitchen. I jump off the counter and Ashley laughs. "The whole house heard y'all fucking last night and now you guys are jumping down each others throats." 

I feel my face turn red and Jacob laughs. "She just likes to be a pain in my ass." 

"Damn straight. Lets go." 

He raises his eyebrows and follows me outside. "Where are we going?" He asks and I shrug. "I don't know." 

"Liar." 

"Maybe." 

He laughs, "now who is being impossible." 

"Shut up." I say and get in the driver seat. He laughs again and sits in the passenger. 

"Someones feisty today."

"I'll cook you." 

He laughs harder this time and I roll my eyes. "You think I'm playing? Cute." 

"You won't cook me." He says and I smile. "Don't put it past me just yet." 

He shakes his head and laughs again. This mother fucker. 

"Stop laughing at me." 

He smiles and turns the radio up. 

I pull into a McDonalds and get food for him and I. 

After I eat and drink some of my coffee I feel better. He starts singing along to one  of the songs, and he is majorly off key. I laugh at him and he looks at me. "Now who is laughing?" 

I shake my head and laugh again. 

"You only needed some food." He says and continues singing. 

I shake my head and drive to where I want to go. I used to go here all the time with my mom but after my dad found out where she had been taking me, he stopped it. I pull into the familiar path, and go until it stops. Once it stops I get out and Jacob follows me. "Where are we?" He asks looking at the woods.

"You will see." 

I lead him through a series of trees that I remember all to well, and down a maze of paths. If you didn't know your way around here you would get lost easily. 

I take him up to the place where you can see all three waterfalls together. He smiles, "this is beautiful." 

"I know." 

We sit down and he sits next to me. We sit there like that for several hours just talking. We talk about everything. About the pack, about each other, learning each other more and more, going into depth about a few things, talking about my dad, and we talk about us and our future. 

I climb onto his lap and lay my head against his chest. He starts rubbing my back and I feel myself drift to sleep. 

When I wake up, we're in the car. "Good morning." Jacob says and then looks back at the road. "Hey, how long was I asleep?" 

"Two hours." He says. 

"Where are we going?" I ask. He looks at me again and smiles. "It's a surprise." 

He drives and drives for what seems like forever. He turns the radio up and sings along to more songs. He has a nice voice, sometimes he's just off key. 

He reaches over and grabs my hand. He holds our hands together on top of my thigh, and continues singing. 

We finally reach a garden. "Why did you bring me to a garden?" I ask as we weave through the flowers. I try not to step on any that are in the ground. "It's my mothers." He says and I nod. Of course it is, this is something she'd do. 

Once we get farther into the flowers, I see someone standing on the other side. 

"Gabe!" I yell and run to him. He opens his arms and I fly into them. He closes them around me. "I haven't seen you in ages." I say and he laughs. "I know." 

After he sets me down, he looks at Jacob. 

They nod at each other and I look in between them. "Brooklyne, come with me." Gabriel says and grabs my hand. He leads me through the rest of the flowers and out into a dome area with water and butterflies. 

Jacob follows shortly behind and then Gabriel disappears. 

What? 

"Where did Gabe go?" I ask. 

"He will be back." Jacob says. 

He grabs my hands and I look up at the butterflies flying in the dome. "They're so pretty." He nods his head and smiles. 

Gabriel returns and hands Jacob a small box and then he is gone again. "I just needed him to bring me this." 

He kneels down in front of me and my I gasp. 

"Brooklyne. These months with you have been crazy but I have never felt more alive than I do when I am with you. I love you so much. I promise you I will protect you for as long as I live. I need you with me, by my side, as my Luna, but also as my wife. So I am before you today, and I ask you, will you do me the honor of marrying me?" 

I remove my hand from his and wipe the tear that has fallen down my face. 

"Yes." 

He smiles and slides the ring on my hand. He stands up and wraps his arms around my waist. He picks me up and spins me, giving me a kiss. 

"I love you." He whispers in my ear. 

"I love you too."
