Two watched in amusement as Firey turned into metal with one swallow of a yoyleberry. They had settled in a large clearing bordered by towering cliffs and trees, bushes dotted everywhere and a small pond toward the entrance of the clearing. It was perfect. X bounded over to Two, holding a beautiful purple rock, he jumped in excitement.
"Look, Two! This rock sparkles!" X squealed enthusiastically, Two smiling warmly, he gently touched the rock.
"It's very nice, X.." Two pulled him close, "can you believe it?..we're finally safe.." he nuzzled his yellow friend. X hugged him tightly, "mhm!"
A furious yowl shot from the edge of the clearing, startling both of them. Blocky emerged from the edge, holding what seemed to be a fish. Taco bolted after him, angrily spitting insults at him—Two realized he must've stolen her fish. He relaxed, melting back into calmness. Four wasn't going to come for them, nor will he find out where they went. Not in any way. X buried his face into his chest, calmly breathing with soothing purrs. Two slowly ran his hand down X's body, his eyes drooping, and he soon found himself opening his mouth in a massive yawn before slumping against X and drifting into a deep, relieved sleep.

Two slowly flickered his eyes open. It was the middle of the night, and the moon was round and shown brightly in the middle of the sky, white little specks dotting around it—stars. An eerie feeling crept inside him, but he didn't know what it was. It was as if his body instinctively knew he was in danger. He cautiously looked around, starting at every calm rustling of the trees or bushes, stirred by the wind. He narrowed his eyes and glanced at X, who was dozing peacefully beside him, not awakened or troubled at all. He groaned, too tired to move out of his spot—and away from X's warm body. All around the clearing, objects lay unmoving in the open or under cover, sleeping alone or closer to their friends. He felt his eyelids droop wearily, his muscles relaxing and his hair flattening. He closed his eyes, snuggling up by X as he tried with a small tug of desperation to get comfortable and go back to sleep. Suddenly, footsteps began to abruptly make their way towards them, light and ginger, as if the intruder were attempting to sneak. He peeled his right eye open—only a little—and saw something that made every drop of his blood harden to ice. Four was making his way towards both of them, Leafy laying relaxed between the gaps of his head. Two quickly shut his eye, silently asking for what would happen. He felt the warmth of X's body slowly slip away from him, and heard Four's footsteps break away and back up, slowly starting to fade off into the distance, blurred by the quiet whispering of the trees. Two shot up and glared at Four, whom was getting closer to the exit. Two let out an earsplitting cry.
"Four! Four is stealing X!"
Immediately, Four froze, objects scattered around the clearing beginning to stir, a wave of hostility rising hot in the air, nearly choking him. Four let out a despaired and horrified screech, as objects began to fly angrily towards them, screaming in rage and spitting out nasty insults. His contestants were furious—except for some..—he suspiciously eyed Four's contestants, whom were circling the battle or not doing anything at all. Two's heart lurched as he heard X cry out in fear.
