Yoshika Yukimura. A young teenage girl who was overshadowed by her brother. It didn't matter to others when she achieved something or if she did something well. She was tossed aside as if she was a ragdoll. She had no real friends, she was constantly pushed around and bullied, her work was disregarded, and her parents didn't even acknowledge her existence.
The one thing she hated most was the betrayal she felt from her brother. Her brother, Seiichi Yukimura, was popular. He had friends, was adored by the siblings' parents, was the captain of the school tennis team, and had everything a kid could want and ask for.
It wasn't always like this though. As kids, the Yukimura siblings had a tight bond. Wherever one of them were, you had a common probability to find the other. As an individual, she remembered being praised for her hard work, loved by her parents, had friends that wouldn't be using her to get to her brother. It was all she could want in life, but once Seiichi had gotten into Rikkaidai's tennis team, it was like she became invisible.
He had become a whole other person and had no clear reason to explain why. He became a stranger to her. He was no longer the loving brother she once knew and loved. No matter how many times she thought about and remembered their childhood, Yoshika couldn't see where things went wrong.
Her friends slowly left her, one by one, claiming that she wasn't good enough to be holding the same surname as Seiichi. He too slowly became ignorant to her existence and would sometimes even forget that she was his sister, allowing the other regulars to make fun of her without consequence.
After being in Seichii's shadow for well over 2 years, she grew tired of this horrible treatment and felt an urge to stand up for herself and take matters into her own hands. After mulling over the different approaches that she hypothetically could take, she came to a decision. She would change schools. All there was left was to find the right school. When she would announce her transfer to who knows where, she knew how the teachers would brush it off.
It wasn't like they would care for her departure. She was reprimanded on a daily basis for the simplest mistakes or even for things she didn't even do. All she heard on a daily basis was, "Why can't you be like your brother?!?!" or "What's wrong with you? I can't look at such a disturbing sight." Not to mention how the students wouldn't even notice if she was absent or not.
As for her family, if she could even call them that, they never really cared about her anyway. Sure they fed and let her live in the house, but they did that only because they were trying to provide for Seiichi. She just was given that benefit because they found her "useful" to help around the house.
So, she decided to move out into a simple apartment, creating a private bank account as she transferred all her savings, and taking a couple thousand yen from her parent's accounts and transferring them as well. It was all to make sure that she had enough to pay for her tuition at her new school, Seishun Academy. It was known for one of the most legendary players in tennis, but was also known for its academics, something Yoshika was looking for in a school.
What she didn't know was that she would find more than what she was aiming for when she began attending Seigaku...
