Chapter 23

Tezuka looked in the direction of which his name was called to see Yoshika and the boys. To say that he was shocked was an understatement. He was dumbfounded. They really travelled all this way just to see him. This wasn't real was it?

Yoshika jumped into his arms, engulfing him into her embrace. It was real alright. Her warm embrace was what made him feel that kick of reality that was so assuring to him. He held her tightly in his arms, finding the comfort and affection that he longed for so much.

As he was hugging Yoshika, he felt a large weight on his back. He lifted his head up to see the rest of the team joining in their hug. Yoshika noticed too and let out a hearty laugh. She was happy that the team had finally reunited with one another.

"what are you all doing here?" Tezuka asked. Yoshika looked at him with an 'are you serious' look, her expression giving it all away. He noticed her glare and understood the mistake he made.

"O-Oh. You all are here for me?" Tezuka rephrased as he didn't really want her to get mad at him right when they got to Germany. Yoshika sighed and nodded. The others broke their hug as they stood in a small circle around their recovering captain.

"Who else are we here for? Nya!" Eiji exclaimed with a pout on his face.

"Well, there is a person I am waiting on to join me at the rehabilitation center," Tezuka commented. Yoshika laughed as she realized that he hadn't understood the hidden meaning behind that request.

"Seriously? You didn't get the hint?" Yoshika teased. Tezuka thought about the request a little more before he understood the meaning. His eyes widened in realization, a faint smile falling upon his cold and stoned face.

Tezuka then grabbed Yoshika's luggage as he directed them to the rehab center. Once they got there, they saw how the big facility was very antique yet modern. It looked similar to the designs of the hospital back in Japan.

Clearing his throat, he caught the teams attention again as they were amazed and stuck in a trance in awe of his temporary "home." He motioned for them to follow him and they did, walking behind their captain as he led them to his room. On their way, they had bumped into Hannah, Tezuka's personal rehab trainer. Yoshika had a little chat with her as the boys left to drop the tennis players' things off in their room.

Yoshika had finished her small chat with Hannah before turning around to find Tezuka waiting patiently for her. Though, he was alone....

"Yoshika, we need to talk..."
