Kali meets Blizzard

Chapter 3

"Well, at about that time... Blizzard and Dancer Jr. weren't the only ones taking off..." Adult Kali's voice narrated. 

We then cut to young Kali. She was feeling much happier these days. She was doing better in school. She was talking to her parents again. She even found a way to stay connected with all of her old friends. And it was all thanks to Blizzard. The adventure girl and reindeer had grown really close over the past year. 

But you know, sometimes life can change when you least expect it...

One day at school, Kali was sitting at her desk reading a book while waiting for class to start. All the other students where either shouting too loudly or throwing paper airplanes, causing usual chaos. 

"All right class, settle down..." The teacher walked in, informing her students. "Today we have a new student"

Everyone went silent and turned to the door as a blond haired girl with pigtails entered the classroom. Kali could tell she looked very shy.

Her name was Katie Andrews, and she really loved ice skating. But after her father had lost his job, her family was forced to move to the city. Katie was devasted to leave behind her home and all her friends. But most importantly, her skating instructor, Otto Brewer. 

"Come dear, you'll sit over there" The teacher told Katie, pointing to the empty desk next to Kali's. 

Katie slowly walked over to her desk and sat down without saying a word. 

Kali smiled to Katie, introducing herself. "Nice to meet you. My name's Kali Harpercop"

"Don't worry, I know exactly how you feel" Kali sensed Katie's sadness but assured her. "You'll get used to it here"

But Katie only glanced at her as her sadness had a firm grip on the young girl. And it would've stayed there forever too if it hadn't been for...

"Stop!" Dan interrupted the story as we immediately cut back to his room. 

"What's the matter?" Kali asked. 

"This is not cheering me up" Dan said. 

"But I haven't gotten to the..." Kali tried to explain. 

"Tell us more about Blizzard" Verago spoke up. 

"Yeah, you said this was about your great friendship" Dan added. 

"I will, kiddo. Be patient" Kali said. 

"No!" Dan insisted, being the eager boy he was. "Please, Kali... Now"

The adult adventure girl smiled. "Well mercy me, child, all right..."

She then proceeded telling Blizzard's part to the story. 

"Well, Blizzard grew... and one night she discovered she possessed not one, but two of the three magic reindeer gifts"

"What magic reindeer gifts?" Dan asked out of curiousity.
