The next day, Katie ran into some trouble at the skating rink with those mean girls. Erin challenged Katie to a skating match tommorrow, and if she backed out she'd be dubbed a 'chicken'.

When Katie got home that night, she received a visit from her coach Otto Brewer's daughter. She had come to tell her the unfortunate news that Otto had passed away and he wanted Katie to have the medal that he won in the Olympics.

The next morning, Katie was outside the skating rink, having told Kali and Blizzard about Otto and was crying.

"Maybe I shouldn't do this" Katie said with tears running down her face.

"Don't say that! Skating is your dream" Kali told her. "Like Miss Brewer said, you and Otto were so much alike. You were both the happiest when you were on the ice"

"It's like me when I go on adventures" The adventure girl mentioned.

"Katie, you love skating" Blizzard also encouraged her. "And you can't let anyone stop you from doing it"

Katie smiled through her tears. "That's what Otto used to tell me"

"He sure sounded like a nice man" Kali smiled in sympathy.

"And I'll bet Otto was a smart man too" Blizzard added. "And I have a feeling that if he were here right now, he'd say, 'Katie, get in there, and skate circles around that girl'"

"You can do it" The reindeer encouraged her human friend.

"Yeah, go for it Katie!" Kali added.

Katie nodded to her friends before heading towards the entrance of the rink.

"We'll see you inside" Blizzard told her before turning invisible.

"Good luck" Kali called out to Katie.

Kali snuck inside the rink and hid in the bleachers, finding the place empty as everyone had left. Except for Erin, who along with her friends had been waiting for Katie to show up. Kali saw Katie putting her skates on when Erin and her friends skated over to her.

"Hey, snooper. You ready?" She said to Katie before noticing her skates.

"Are your skates yellow, or are you actually a chicken?" Erin mocked while her friends laughed at Katie, making her frown.

Kali glared, wanting to teach those girls a lesson for making fun of Katie and her skates. Luckily she didn't have to as a huge gust of wind whoosed passed Erin, nearly making her fall.

"What was that?" Erin looked around with her friends but they didn't see anyone. Kali knew who it was.

And so did Katie as she whispered into the air. "Blizzard?... Blizzard..."

"I'm here" Blizzard whispered back, still being invisible.

"Don't do anything, please" Katie told her. "I just want to skate fair. Promise me"

"Okay" The reindeer said.

The mean girls then skated over to Katie, as Erin said to her. "Okay, chicken skates, let's see what you've got. See if you can do any of this"

Erin skated around the rink, showing off her skills as everyone watched. When she was finished, she stopped in front of Katie, getting snow on her skates.

"That was good" Katie admitted.

Katie took her turn next, skating around the rink. Kali smiled while watching, being proud of her. However, it didn't last long as the skating instructor, Miss Ward, saw what was going on from her office and came out.

"What's going on here?" She asked, surprising Katie that she lost her balance and fell.

"Who are you, young lady?" Miss Ward demanded, looking to Katie.

Katie got to her feet and brushed herself off, replying. "Uh, Katie Andrews"

"We were just going to call you, Miss Ward" Erin said. "We caught her skating here without permission"

"Liar" Blizzard said, almost loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Blizzard, no" Katie whispered.

Miss Ward told her students to go home and have Katie come to her office for an explanation. Kali was worried Katie would get in trouble. But Katie wasn't in trouble. Turns out Miss Ward was impressed by her skills and asked if she'd like to join. Miss Ward even mentioned there was a skating championship coming up and knew Katie had the talent to compete. Katie happily accepted.

"Katie was on the ice again, practicing hard in order to get ready for the competition. While at the North Pole, Santa's team was hard at work perfecting moves of their own" Adult Kali's voice narrated.

As time went by, Kali was helping her family get ready for Christmas since it was only a few weeks away. She was decorating the tree with her mom and siblings.

"I really hope Santa brings me that race car I asked for" Brock said.

"Yeah, and those dolls I wanted" Ann added excitedly.

Jane then turned to look at her oldest daughter. "I heard the skating championships are coming up. You gonna watch Katie compete?"

"Yeah!" Kali smiled. "And she's going to win too"

Walter then came in from the kitchen, asking his daugther. "Say, how's Blizzard doing these days?"

Kali simply replied. "Things couldn't be better for her"

Meanwhile at the North Pole, Blizzard and DJ were watching Santa's reindeer team practicing for the big night. Blizzard told DJ he'd be just as great as his dad one day before they flew off together.

Unkowningly to the two reindeer though, things were beginning to take a bad turn. Because that night, they ran into Jeremy who had been looking for them all day. He appeared frantic.

"Hey, Baggage" Blizzard greeted her elf friend. "What's the hurry?"

"What's going on?" DJ asked.

Jeremy had to catch his breath before he spoke. "Listen, I don't know how she found out, but Aphrodite told Archimedes about your gift of invisibility"

"Blizzard, this is serious" The elf looked gravely towards his friend. "I mean, he's looking for any reason to get you banished"

"Banished?" Blizzard appeared a bit shocked.

"From now on you're going to have to mind your p's and q's" Jeremy told the reindeer.

"Oh, Baggage, you worry too much" Blizzard replied.

"Crash, please" The elf begged his friend. "I know Archimedes. You don't want to do anything to provoke him. This close to Christmas, he'll let nothing, and I mean nothing, stand in the way of the big day"

"He's right, Blizzard. This is no time to be on Archimedes' bad side" DJ told her.

Blizzard sighed. "Oh, boy. This is trouble I don't need"
