Kali meets Blizzard

Chapter 5

Later that night, Blizzard was in her paddock unable to sleep as she could hear Katie crying. 

"Blizzard was terribly torn, for she felt the sadness as if it were her own. And she saw the little girl so clearly" Adult Kali's voice narrated. 

"But breaking one of Archimedes' three most important rules would be completely, absolutely unthinkable!"

Manewhile, Kali had just finished eating dinner with her family and was preparing for bed. But the young adventure girl stopped in her tracks when she noticed her crystal strangely glowing a little weaker than normal and also vibrate a little. 

"Hmm. That's strange" The adventure girl thought. But she quickly shrugged it off and went to brush her teeth. 

Later, Kali was in bed just starting to drift off to sleep when she heard a soft thud on the roof. 

"Okay, I defintely didn't dream that" She told herself, getting out of bed and headed towards the roof. 

When Kali made it up to her rooftop out on this cold night, she was surprised to discover who was there... Blizzard!

Low and behold, there stood the reindeer on her roof clear as day. And she appeared to be trouble for some reason. 

"Blizzard!?" Kali came up to the reindeer while darting her head around, making sure no one was watching them. "What in the name of Christmas are you doing here?!"

"I need your help" The reindeer said. 

"I'm listening" Kali told her. 

Blizzard then proceeded in telling Kali how she felt Katie's sadness by discovering she had all three of the special reindeer gifts now. Blizzard figured with Kali's assitance by knowing Katie from school, they could find a way to help her. The adventure girl happily obliged. 

Minutes later, the two friends arrived at Katie's house as Blizzard slowly flew up to the window with Kali riding on her back. 

Figuring Katie was asleep, Kali tapped on the window to wake her up. But apparently they didn't think things through on Katie's reaction to them when she opened the curtains and screamed at the sight of a reindeer staring at her. Blizzard quickly flew away so they wouldn't get caught and landed on the roof. 

"Well, that could've gone better" Kali commented while Blizzard gave her a weird look. 

The two waited for a few minutes until Katie finally came out onto the roof in her winter clothes and saw them. The 10 year old girl was pretty stunned. 

"Katie? I'm sorry I scared you" Blizzard spoke to her. "Please, don't scream"

"What are you?" Katie asked the reindeer, being astonished by her. 

"It's okay, Katie. This is Blizzard" Kali assured. "She's my friend. And she's your friend too"

"I'm a reindeer from the North Pole" Blizzard said. 

"Santa's reindeer?" Katie asked. 

"Yeah" Blizzard replied. "You've probably heard of my dad, Blitzen"

Katie stared at the reindeer curiously, asking. "Do all of Santa's reindeer look like you?"

"No. I'm kind of special" Blizzard told her. 

"Darn right she is!" Kali smiled proudly while hugging the reindeer. 

"I mean, I can fly faster than anybody. And I can become invisible. And I have empa... Empa... Empa something. What it means is, I can see with my heart" Blizzard explained.
