That night when Katie got home, she headed straight up to the roof as it was snowing lightly outside.

"Blizzard? Blizzard are you here?" Katie whispered, looking around for the reindeer but couldn't find her.

Just then...

"Katie, where are you?" Katie's mom, Sarah, called out.

"Up here, Mom" Katie said.

Sarah soon appeared, coming out onto the roof. "What are you doing up here?" She asked her daughter.

"Just looking at the stars" Katie replied.

"Coach Ward is on the phone. Erin is missing" Sarah told her. "Her father says he waited in the car, but she didn't come out. They've looked everywhere. Any ideas?"

"I haven't seen her since the rink" Katie said.

"Oh, well, come inside. It's freezing out here" Sarah told her daughter, going back in.

Once she was gone, Katie whispered for Blizzard again. "Blizzard... Blizzard?"

"Over here" Blizzard appeared, revealing to have been invisible.

"And me too" Kali said, coming out of hiding.

"Did you hear that?" Katie asked her friends.

"Yeah" Blizzard and Kali both nodded.

"What happened?" Kali asked.

"Her dad was yelling at her after the competition. She was really upset" Katie explained. She even mentioned Erin was the one who ruined her skates, but she felt awful about it.

"She must've run away" Kali realized. "But where on earth could she have gone?"

Katie then had an idea, asking Blizzard. "Could you find her?"

"Sure" Blizzard said.

The reindeer started using her empathic navigation power and soon saw Erin alone out in the cold, crying before running onto a frozen pond but didn't see the warning signs of the thin ice.

"She's in danger" Blizzard replied.

"We have to help her" Katie said.

"Let's go" Blizzard told the girls as they got on her back.

"Hurry, Blizzard!" Kali said urgently as they took to the sky.

Blizzard quickly took off as they headed towards the pond. They soon heard Erin crying out for help.

"Down there!" Kali pointed out, being the first to spot Erin.

The ice had broken up around Erin and now she was desprately fighting for her life, struggling to keep her head above the freezing water.

"There she is!" Blizzard said.

"Easy now, Blizzard" Kali told the reindeer to go down gently.

Blizzard carefully flew down over to the spot where Erin fell in. She was stunned to see the flying reindeer.

"Erin, don't be afraid" Katie told her. "We're gonna get you out of here"

"Don't tread the water!" Kali told Erin, saying she could freeze faster and die that way. Erin did as Kali told her and grabbed onto the side of the ice.

Safely being on Blizzard's back, Katie reached her hand out to Erin, telling her. "Give me your hand, we'll pull you out"

"No," Erin shook her head. "If I let go, I'll slip in!"
