The raucously earsplitting intensity of the cheers embroidered by such prosperous joy of the students reiterated across the whole gymnasium. After an anguish of a mind-murdering examinations... They get this. The Sports Festuval is one of the very few opportunities for them to come together in a field none other than the academics.
"Yes! Mens sana in corpore sano! Translating it for 'A sound mind with a healthy body'! Finally! They day of the most awaited festivals of all time has finally arrived! I hope you guys haven't forget me yet, my name is Jeup Hayoon, the president of the Student Council for this year. Well, last year too. But anyways! Here I have with me is the ever-so famous Sun Deoksu.. The president of the SNU Athletics club!"
Simultaneously, the students kept cheering and letting out extravagantly huge noises everywhere. The guy came up at the stage with a smile and took hold of the mic that was offered to him before facing the crowd.
"Hello everyone! Welcome to the opening ceremony of our Sports Festival. We all know that you guys have been aching for this especially after the exams that's why fun and active events were prepared for the students such as 'SNU all-star games' and 'Mini basketball match' for everyone who loves basketball as well as 'Mini matches' for volleyball, football and badminton fans! Hayoon, would you like to continue?" He faced her.
"Yes of course!"
Both presidents started announcing further details about all the activities for the festival. The two were always the ones who are leading things in almost everything in the school, in their levels— reason why everybody adores them.
Director Takada watched everyone, everything with a soft smile upon her lips—scrutinizing throughly at each. She's the director of of the school ever since the dawn of times. Detecting students who skip and don't participate at event are very much her forte.
"Is everybody present at your batch?" She cross examined the one who is checking their attendance.
"Uh, nope. There are 14 absentees. Only 3 are excused." The girl shook her head. "The names are Kim Jeongja, Gan Hyojoo, Deung Kwanghoo, Kim Chulwoo...." She went on reciting every names of student that are supposed to be present in this gymnasium but not. "... Eom Jaemi, Jwa Eunchae, Cha Aejun, Jeon Jungkook and Kim Sana."
"Ms. Kim isn't present?" Director Takada grimaced.
"Mrs. Takada we have 5 Kim's here.." The girl said, not apprehending her words. Kim is indeed the most common surname in South Korea.
"Ms. Sana isn't present?"
"No, Director."
She clicked her tongue and nodded. "Alright. Good job. Take them to your adviser right now." The student bobbed her head before walking from her, doing away what she said.
Director Takada kept shaking her head in disappointment. In spite of something, she wasn't surprised. Sana has never been missed out even a single day at school. For the whole year she's present, for the past 3 years that she's studying at SNU. But after what happened yesterday afternoon may have caused her to do so.
