Six months. Six months since you and Fred broke up. Six months it took you to move on from that painful heartbreak. Six months it took him to break it all over again.

He dated a Ravenclaw. A smart, beautiful, witty and lovely Ravenclaw and it hurt to see him and her together because it was only two months after your break up when they started dating.

He dated a Hufflepuff after the Ravenclaw but it was just as short of a relationship with that Hufflepuff as it was with the Ravenclaw.

In those six months he has dated many different girls but none of them stuck as you did. And sometimes you took pride in that and it boosted your confidence that he couldn't find a stable relationship.

But it wasn't until he started dating a Gryffindor, someone who was close in their friend group that you knew it was going to be different. Him and you. The two of you were way past over the finish line. They were just at the start.

You were okay. Truly. You moved on from him, you raised up your marks, you even made more than one friend outside of Fred's friend group, even outside your own house. You were almost flourishing but it didn't take those six months to just wipe all those feelings away as you thought it did.

It took a necklace to a specific person from another defined person.

He gave her a necklace. Not just any necklace but the necklace you have been window shopping since the beginning of the year. You remember the two of you would be holding hands and walking down the road, all of the friends surrounding the two of you would be teasing and laughing, and then your eyes set on that wonderful red ruby silver necklace. Since then you have been saving your money for it because you knew it would be too expensive for Fred by himself. He promised he would buy it for you one day but you knew it was just another of his broken promises. He promised a golden one but you were much more for silver. Gold was overrated meanwhile silver was just the right amount of classy and sheek.

And when you saw that necklace on her... it was like your heart finally raptured and there was nothing but tears and anger.

How could he?! He knew! He knew you wanted that gorgeous necklace and HOW could he even have the money for it?! It costs more galleons than his house.

Since then? Since that moment of breaking you into thousand pieces, you shut down. You left his whole friend group alone. You didn't want to talk to them, even say hi to them. You returned every single possible thing that was given from him or even reminding you of him...it was all in front of his dorm room that same day. Your side of the dorm was more than less empty now.

Everthing reminded you of him and the only thing that went through your head was:

How could he?

It gave you a sickening feeling whenever you saw her or him. It bubbled out your worst side and you hated him because of it. You hated yourself because of who he made you become. An angry, unforgiving and jealous beast.

You cried in your best friend's arms more than one night because of him. During those first two months and now when you were finally able to move on, you have done it again and again until you thought it was bothering her, so you distanced yourself away from her as well and cried alone.

It just hurt. In every way that existed. He bought it for her when he knew how much you wanted it, when he couldn't buy it for you and now he could, when he knew you were saving for it alone and he- well...he did what he wanted anyway. He always was a determined man. You can give him credit for that.
