"Hey baby wyd" "Nothing ma, just listening to music" "oh your father is here" "Wassup pops" he said and I spoke back. "You being good for grandma and grandpa" "Yea ma" "Well we'll see you when we get off sweetie" and then they hung up.
"He acted like he didn't wanna talk to me" "leave him alone Trinity you probably getting on his nerves you been calling since we dropped him off at your parents" "Yessss Pj because you know how your son is he had anger problems and you know my dad always have something to say I just be having to check on him"
"He be picking with my boy" "My dad does not pick with him" "Yes he do Cj told me he always ask about my pops and what they do at they house and shit" "that's not picking just a questions" "yea right that's why Cj don't like being over there"
"He loved being over there when he was little" "Yea cause he didn't know...." I said and I cut myself off. "He didn't know what Pj" "nothing Trin let's just get back to work" "whatever" she said and she walked out my office with an attitude.
Cj didn't know my folks so of course he gone go with what he know, then he was young and now that he getting older he don't need grandparents treating him like a baby. I'll deal with Trinity later.
When we got off we headed straight to Trinity's parents house to get Cj. I stayed in the car cause I really didn't have time for them. When he came out with his back pack the first thing he said to me was "Can you drop me off at my GG house"
"Boys didn't even say what's up to yo pops but you want me to drop you off somewhere" "I'll just walk there when we get home" he said laughing. Trinity got in the car.
"Cj your grandma said you didn't get up and do anything today but be on that phone" "Ma it's the summer she want folks to get up an look in her face while she talk" "Cj why do you act like that you're they're one and only grandchild you better enjoy them while you ca" "Just saying ma"
She looked over at me and I just backed out her parents drive way, I didn't even have time for a comment cause I know what she was getting at.
As we pulled up to our gates you could see my dad and the twins outside playing. When we pulled up at home Cj and I walked over there to them.
"Pjjjjjjjjj" they all ran to me and said. I picked the girls up and bent down so David can get on my back. "Sup pops what y'all doing" "Just out here yo mama got me playing single dad while she out taking care of business"
"Wassup Cj" my pops said rubbing Cj head. "Can't call it granddaddy" I love they bond, my pops got 3 new babies to raise and 2 grandchildren but he got a bond with all them.
"Pj COME HERE" Trinity yelled from our doorstep. "Uh oh wifey calling" my pops said. "Imma stay over here for a while dad" Cj said and I nodded putting the twins down "I'll see y'all later" and I walked off.
Shayla POV I Went to the building Kasen purchased the other day and just sat out there. I wonder what's it for. I mean I could just ask him but I don't want him to think he's up to something.
He did say he wanted to open a corner store for like this neighborhood once before but then they had old man Hayes down the block but with him being gone he might just open it.
When I got home there was pizza on the counter and the kids plus Cj was in the living room watching tv. "Hey babies" I said to them and nobody spoke but Cj the twins was too busy into the tv.
Kasen came from around the corner. "What you been doing all day" "Nothing checked out places and then went to put flowers on Brenda grave" "it took you all day" "I mean Kasen I didn't know I had to be at the house a certain time"
"I was just asking Shay don't get in your feelings" "was they trouble" "what you asking me that for like I have a problem watching my kids" "I was just asking Kasen were they bad" "You don't have to ask that though it don't matter if they bad or not" "aite Kasen"
"I'm finna go I'll be back" he said grabbing his keys" "You couldn't wait until I came so you can go do what you do" "Man chill I'm just going to clean up this building I bought if you want I'll take Cj so you won't think I'm cheating"
"Mmmhp leave him here he don't wanna go with you bye Kasen" "Yea whatever" he said and he left out the house. I'm pretty convinced he picked that lil argument to leave the house he not slick"
"Y'all want dessert" I said to them and they hopped up. "Yes mommy" Dayla said batting her eyes. "Okay we have Ice cream drumsticks" I said getting 4 out.
"Ion want one GG" Cj said "you don't like them or something" "Not really Ill take a popsicle, I hate all the peanuts on top of it you never really her to enjoy the ice cream" I nodded my head at him.
I gave all the kids the drumstick ice cream and Pj a popsicle and we sat in the living room watching tv for the rest of the night. Kasen ass still haven't came back home yet.
