Kasen POV Still no word on lil man Shayla is about to lose her mind. I held her in my arms.Dayva and Dayla came tapping her "mommy we thirsty" before Shay could answer I did. "Here girls tell your brother to take you to the vending machine" I watched them as they went to Pj.
"Baby I'm just gonna take the girls home, do you guys still want dinner" my mama said looking at everybody. "I think we can pass on Sunday dinner granny" KK said and the rest of the family agreed.
"Family of David Riley" the doctor said and everybody stood up. "Um hi, I'm Dr.Bryant and I wanted to give you an update on your son" we was all ears. "Your son had a serious case of lead poisoning"
"Tf how" "I was hoping you guys could tell me, have he been around new or old paint you know that he could have been eating" "My son knows not to put things in his mouth doctor he hasn't been anywhere lately that I can think of" Shayla said.
"Can we see him" "we had to pump his stomach and he is heavily sedated, he had passed out that's why he wasn't waking up when you brought him us" he said "I can allow the parents to go in but that's all, again do you have any idea where he could have gotten poisoned at" he asked but Shayla and I both shook our heads. "Well it had been in there probably sone days,but come on I'll show you guys where his room is"
When Shayla and I got into the room my son was hooked up to all these machines and shit had me thinking about the time Dave got shot and he was hooked up to machines. He was sleeping so he didn't know we was here.
Shay went by him and grabbed his hand and rubbing his hair. "Baby how could we let this happen, was we not watching him or what" "Ion know where he could have eating paint baby" I said looking over my son.
Kasely POV I hope David be ok. I'm glad social services didn't get involved, they like getting involved with stuff like this. On our way out I seen my granny talking to this older light skinned woman.
I walked up to them "oh baby this is Glenda this is London's mother, this is my granddaughter Kasely" "Nice to meet you" I said. "I was just checking on London's son, my niece works here and she called me" I just listened to her.
"He's fine Kasen and Shayla are the only ones who can visit him right now" my granny said and she nodded. "You know I didn't want to sign over my rights when London died I just couldn't give him a life he needed" my granny nodded again "I understand" she said and I commented.
"Granny go ahead and take the twins home and I'll be over so we can feed everyone" my granny turned to Glenda and told her she will talk to her later and I followed behind my Granny.
Why was she here. She signed over here rights because she was a crackhead and wasn't fit to take care of a child. She bet not be trying to shit. My granny befriended everybody. I rolled my eyes and got in my car. Put my mama through hell fighting for custody of a freaking new born baby.
When I got home I walked in and kissed Trely and asked where he dad was. "He's upstairs on the balcony mommy" I picked her up and I went out there.
Since I woke right up and went straightforward the hospital I basically was just ratchet. Nemo and I walked outside and there he was sitting out there smoking.

"How yo brother doing" "he's fine my mama and daddy the only ones who can see him, where you going all dressed up" "I just threw this on me and Nemo was gonna go to my parents but she didn't wanna her dressed you didn't want to get dressed either look like" I looked at Nemo and she jumped her shoulders and I smiled.

"Look baby turn around" he said grabbing the side of my face and telling me to get a contact of the weed as he pulled a puff and I inhaled it in. "Dre might got a job for me" I looked at him.
"Is this job legal" "Should be, Dre know ion fw them drugs and shit anymore" I nodded "I'm glad you don't" "Im glad fir you and Trely, ion want my baby to grow up without me, I mean no disrespect to yo Lil brother he lost his pops to the streets, I can't go out like that.
"I know Tre, I know" "Imma go see him though, you want me get baby girl dressed and take her with me since you been up since early this morning" "Please babe thank you" "You know you don't gotta thank me for being a father to my child" he said and he patted my thigh indicating I needed get up so he can get up.
"I love you" "I love you too Nerd girl" he said kissing me before going off the balcony.
I went into our room and took a quick shower so I can get back in the bed. Imma go help my granny when I get up.
