Aaron POV

She got startled. What is she holding? No! It can't be. She looked at me showing me the paper.

"Is this true?" She asked crying.

"Dee I can explain."

"Is this why Taye left? You knew it for so long and none of you told me?"

"Dee you seem happy with Taye. I thought you moved on."

"Moved on?"

"I don't want you to get hurt. I don't want to open back that wound."

"You know what hurt me the most? It's not Taye leaving me or you giving up on me. It's knowing that I can't trust anyone. Knowing that people around me are keeping things from me. I felt betrayed. You're no different from. Taye. You both lie to me."

"Dee"

I stormed out and went to mom crying.

"Dee what happened?"

"The accident."

"What accident?"

"Twelve years ago. Aaron knew the drunk driver." I was sobbing.

She hugged me and tried to calm me down. "Shhh. Dee you don't have to tell now."

"It's Taye. He was the driver. That's the reason he left. He found out that he's the reason for mom's death. Aaron knew about it. He hired an investigator. He hide it from me. He thinks it's for the best. How could they make a fool of me?"

Dad heard everything. I didn't know his home.

"What?" I jumped when I heard his voice.

"Dad!"

"Did I hear it right?"

I just cried. I saw tears in dad's eyes. It drop to his cheeks. I didn't say another word. He just stood there. I hugged him tightly.

"Dad can we move to France? Just for a year?"

"Is that what you really want?"
I nodded.

"Okay. Anything for you. If it'll make you feel better."

I hugged him tighter and mom joined in.

"Thanks dad. Thanks mom. I love you."

"We love you too Dee" they said together.
