Chapter 19

I walked down the hall passing the rooms that had signs on them. Dix covered her door in pictures and stickers. Shi had his door covered in keep out signs for Dix and a list of people who could come in. I smile knowing both of them will be happy to see everyone back, and they might like Darek too. Dix made a sign for everyone who lived in the red hall, I'm sure the six of us are next. I found the door the said big brother Pyatʹ on it, so what would one do? I knock and wait, there was a slow movement, when the boy looked at me, he was scared, "No wait! I'm not ready for this to come!"

I mean I would be scared out of my mind if someone plowed me into the ground as I did. The boy slammed the door in my face, I sigh I walk over to Sei's room I open the door, and peek in at the girl's room. Sei was connected to an IV as the soft beeping sent shivers down her spine. A hand fell on her shoulder, "Sei was knocked unconscious during your fight but we found old wounds that might have caused the concussions." Dr. Kellie said as I feel the lump grow as I hear the panicked little boy in the neighboring room. His words were rambled off in short hyperventilated sentences.

I run over to Pyatʹ's room, we both push on the door, I really don't want to break it and scare the boy more than I have. We finally move the desk blocking the door, Pyatʹ is in the corner of the room, crying, "Sei is dead...dead...father said they couldn't kill...father was wrong...did they kill Shi and Dix? Will I be killed next?" the boy was spiraling, Dr. Kellie goes over to him, "Pyatʹ, calm down, Dix and Shi are not dead nor is Sei. I think Sei is suffering from long term damage from abuse that wasn't caused by Lilia. Can you tell me what your father did to you?" the boy shook his head, Shi and Dix are the only ones who can help him snap out of it.

I walk out and hear a groan, Shi walked out of his room, "Shi?" the boy rubbed his eyes and looked towards me, "Lilia!" he ran over to me, "Lilia did you know big brother Pyatʹ is here and so is big sister Sei!" he woke up fast, "Shi, I need your help, Pyatʹ is going through something and his brain is panicking, can you go in there and help him?" Shi looks at me, "Is he suffering from withdraws? Dr. Staff mentioned his Hormone levels were higher than mine and Dix's." that could be it, Dr. Kellie and I didn't look him over or Sei when they were brought here. "I believe it's something close to it." Shi nods and walks into the room, "Big brother Pyatʹ!" the boy was shocked when he saw Shi standing before him.

Pyatʹ reached out to grab the boy, "Shi is that really you?" Shi nods as he hugs Pyatʹ, there was a groan from the door, "Is that big brother Pyatʹ?" The two boys smile as Pyatʹ wipes his tears, "Dix you're okay too?" walking over she nods, "Yeah, it's really nice here, Dr. Kellie is helping us get ready to return to normal everyday life." I walk out of the room; Dr. Kellie follows me as the children climb into Pyatʹ's bed and sleep together to calm the fear-filled boy.

In the hall, I shook I cause that boy to be filled with so much fear. Dr. Kellie stopped me, "Lilia, the boy is suffering from withdraws from Hormone V, I looked over his scans he was in an overdose so he could carry Sei, remember his power was flight, not strength. Sei is in a coma because of you either, once her hormone was out of her system she had to succumb to her injuries and stress. You saved the girl from dying out of nowhere." I punch the wall as the dent was like a crater in the ground. "Then why is it I brought more fear alone than I do with my friends?" Dr. Kellie touches my shoulder again, "I've told you before that you six aren't the human, you've been genetically modified to those around you look human, but Lilia when you are put next to normal supers you even outstand to them."

My throat dries out as her words settle. I can't even think, I just need to walk away. Dr. Kellie watches me, "Lilia this doesn't change the fact that you're still a wonderful person, you and the others are the best things to ever happen to me, to your families, to your school, and the community. Don't you ever think any different, and Heath wouldn't be the young man he is now if you didn't sweep in and woo him with that personality of yours?" I roll my eyes, "No offense Heath's a dog sometimes it wasn't my personality he was after I can tell you that much."
