12 years later...

Tomioka sat down on the roof of his house. Looking up at the beautiful moon. He felt so empty to the point where it hurts to breathe. it hurts to be alive everyday he woke up. He doesn't understand how he can smile all day long but he cries to himself at everyday night. He couldn't forget the pain from that day. The pain of losing someone you loved with all your heart.

"I love you. You are the only person who gave meaning to my life and made me happy. If only you were here. If only i was strong enough. If only i could have protected you." He went to his room and went to bed, crying his eyes out.

𝙽𝚎𝚡𝚝 𝙼𝚘𝚛𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐

He got up, took a bath and went to the Butterfly Estate. As soon as he took a step inside the garden, memories of 12 years ago came flooding his head.
He didn't like going there because he knew it would only make him suffer more. He greeted Aoi, She invited him inside. She gave her some tea.

"What brings you here Tomioka-san?"
She asked while taking a sip from her cup.

"Nothing, I just wanted to visit."
He says as he drinks from his cup aswell.

He finished the tea and roamed around the Estate.
He went to the garden and saw Sumi, Niyo, Kiyo.
They all waved at him and he waved back. He went inside the Estate and entered her office. He saw a butterfly patterned haori hanged in the closet.

He almost cried but endured it and went outside. He truly loved her with all his heart. He went to the livingroom and saw a katana displayed next to a Demon Slayer uniform. It was like hell having to endure all those mixed feelings deep inside of him.

He went to Sanemi's place and they both talked while drinking alcohol. "How are you feeling nowadays?"
Sanemi asked.

"I don't know." He answered while chugging the whole bottle. "I miss her man..." He added while crying his eyes out. "I wanna see her.." He said with a cracked voice.

"Just try to find her when we get reborn." Sanemi exclaimed. "What do you mean?" Tomioka asked with a low voice.

"You mean?-" Sanemi cut him off. "Yes, Iguro and Mitsuri are doing the same." He said while finishing the bottle of liquor. "Do you really think i'll find her in our next lives?" He asked. "Yeah. i'm going to find Kanae. no matter what." Sanemi says as he goes inside his room and falls on his bed.

Tomioka went home and went to his balcony.

"Shinobu, i'll find you no matter what. even if it takes a hundred years. i'll definitely find you!"
Tomioka shouted.

It's their story a hundred years later. Sorry this had a sad ending 😔 i had to do it so i could write the sequel. i'll release the first chapter in like two days so don't be sad, also i love them authors who supported meee
