"Lacy!" I heard a faint voice yell my name. My eyes were still shut while I lay mingled in my big blanket.
"Lacy, wake up!" I realized the voice belonged to my mother. My eyes slowly started to open, trying to adjust to the brightness of the light.
"Finally! I thought you would never get up," My mother's beautiful face was in front of mine.

"It's three in the afternoon! Sleepy head," she pulled the covers off of me. The cold from my opened window gave me a rush of major goosebumps.
"Close the window!" I groaned. I pulled the covers over my head and stared at the nothingness, wondering what I had planned for the day.
Then it clicked.
Today is the day that I will be reunited with my amazing boyfriend, Christian.
