Taylor's POV
I can't believe that I actually met Lacy. I mean, we were childhood best friends. Who knew she would be famous one day!
I don't care that she's famous though, I am just glad that I have been reunited with her again. It feels good.
I'm on my way to Starbucks, making sure to get there a little earlier than the time we settled, so I could save us a seat.
Walking in, I see a huge line of people. Why is it so long? This is not happening! The line barely even fits inside.
I sit down at a table, noticing that half of those people are going to need a seat, but I'm already seated, so I don't have that problem.
"Taylor!" I look up to see Lacy. She was a little early as well.
"Hey girl!" I stood up to give her a hug.
"Why is the line so packed?" She pointed behind her back.
"I have no clue."
We set our jackets down so people will know that we are sitting there. The line has cut down a few, but we will be waiting for quite a while. That gives us enough time to catch up on things.
"So, tell me Taylor, what exciting things are happening in your life?" She asked.
"Mostly just school. I'm dating this guy, his name is Shawn. Actually, you may know him as Shawn Mendes?" I was nervous about her answer.
I wanted her to approve, to like him at least. If she didn't end up liking him, I would feel terrible. But I wouldn't end my relationship because of that. I don't really care if she does or not, I mostly just want to see her expression.
"Shawn?" She shouted excitingly. Grabbing a few stares around us. She covered her mouth bashful.
"Yes, why? Do you know him?"
She slightly nodded, smirking along.
"Why do you have that face like you know something I don't."
She shrugged, but I knew what she was doing. She was trying to get me to beg her the information out. But I am not playing that game.
"He asked me to do a cover with him, that's all I'm saying," she smirked even more. I knew she was growing the suspense.
"Really? What song?"
"I think he wanted to sing a Christian song, I'm not entirely sure. He wanted something different." I never knew Lacy could sing. But that might have changed over the three years of not seeing each other.
"That's cool! I would try some Jamie Grace, or Hillsong United," I suggested a few artists to make the idea blossom.
"Okay, thanks babe," She called me by my old nickname.
We would always have pet names for each other. Babe, bb, Darling, Hun, love, all those types of names.
It feels good to have my best friend back. I really did miss her. No matter how many times I have to say it.
