Seven Years Later

"Daddy!" My two year old daughter, Lacy, wrapped her arms around my leg.

"Hey babygirl," I pick her up, throwing her body in the air, catching her small body in my arms.

"I see you're home early, how did the talk go?" My pregnant wife, Sabrina, walked up. She's due in two months. It's a boy.

"I laid some flowers down and said a few words, nothing too big."

I visited Lacy's grave today. I visit every three weeks. My favorite thing to do is lay down a blanket and look up in the clouds, talking to her. Today I decided against it, not being able to spend much time with my family. I am busy with tours, work, and supporters. Even though nothing will stop me from seeing her.

"Darling, Daddy needs to take a shower, and I'll be right back out, okay?" I ask Lacy.

She nods, smiling wide.

"What's for dinner?" I ask Sabrina.

"It's a 'make your own dinner' night," she chuckles.

I run into the bathroom, turning the hot water on. I've been stressed lately. I think I need to take a break from YouTube. Keeping up with videos every other week is difficult. But, I can't let my supporters down.

The shower was relaxing. My muscles could relax easier now. I change as quick as I can, walking back out for dinner. My life is completely different from six years ago. Lacy's death changed me, but it was all for the best to move on.

"Daddy, please more," Lacy looked over at me, smashed potatoes on her mouth.

"Finish your macaroni first, love."

Life is alright. I have the best family in the world. Lacy would be happy for me. I still feel like she's here with me. I will forever and always love and remember her. I love you Lacy.
