Chris was silent. His posture was sloppy, his eyes were dark, and nothing about his self spoke hope. I feel like he has fought with everything he has. Just looking at him makes me weak.
"Lacy, whatever you say right now isn't going to change my mind about how I feel."
I can't believe my deepest secret was coming out. No more hiding anything anymore. Even though I know it's too late in the relationship for that. I should have been straight up with him before.
My mother always told me to not tell him. That I shouldn't tell him my secret because of how he felt towards me. But I can't stand this any longer.
