Chapter 61

Days passed by and the Kingdoms seemed to be doing very well. Everyone lived back to their normal lives and vampires ended up agreeing to the conditions of the peace. Vampires worked hard to help the humans and their resources while the Kings started to expand their land for more villagers to join. In the rooms, the young girl only groaned in pain before opening her eyes. Sachie felt extremely weak and exhausted when staring at the ceiling. She stared at the ceiling for a whole minute before sitting up
"Ugh...agh...f-fuck" Sachie groaned softly and trembled. She grabbed her head and sighed deeply. She jumped and turned around seeing her mother resting on the other bed
"M-moth-ugh!" Sachie paused as she groaned in pain. She held her side and struggled to breathe
Everything...h-hurts...
"How long have I been knocked out?" Sachie mumbled and laid down back on the bed. She winced in pain and sighed
How are the others doing? Is mom even okay? What about my friends...cousins...Asuka...are they alright? Did they make it safe? Is our village alright?
Sachie gasped as she heard the doorknob and sat up instantly
"Hm? Ah you're finally awake" Liana said as she held a couple of herbs inside her bag
"L-liana?" Sachie asked
"Please lay back down. Your body is still regenerating from your wounds" Liana said and stepped inside
"Is mother okay? Is she going to wake up? What about the others? Are they alright?" Sachie asked worriedly and Liana walked up to her before placing her hand on her shoulder
"Please calm down Sachie. I know you're worried but everything is alright now. No need to get worked up. So please...lie back down and rest. Your mother still needs time to heal" Liana said
"What about Mom and Asuka?" Sachie asked as she trembled
"Matsuri is doing alright. She did suffer a couple of injuries but her body seemed to be able to handle it. Asuka though...she's still struggling" Liana said
"What do you mean? Why is she struggling?" Sachie asked as she sat up
"Shh...just relax. Asuka is just feeling worried. That's all" Liana said
"Let me talk to her" Sachie said
"Let's wait for a while. Right now she is asleep..." Liana said
"Oh okay..." Sachie said
"I'll be replacing the herbs since these have finished" Liana said as she grabbed the old herbs and placed in new ones
"So those were the things that I was sniffing?" Sachie asked
"Yes. These special herbs help relieve your pain and relax your body" Liana said and pouted in some water to help the scent get stronger. Sachie sighed and turned to look at her mother
"And how is mother's injuries? The last thing...I remember was...blood" Sachie said and clenched the blanket tightly
"She suffered a major wound on her back but luckily it didn't reach to her spine. That armour of hers helped block some of the impact" Liana said
"How is everyone?" Sachie asked
"Everyone is doing okay but... they're all worried about you and your mother. I'll be giving them the news soon that you're awake but...we better wait or else there will be a huge crowd and I don't want you to deal with them yet. You still need to rest your mind" Liana said
"C-can't I at least see my family?" Sachie asked
"It's best if we waited a little while longer because we'll need to wait for Mitsuko" Liana said
"O-okay..." Sachie said and rested on the bed again
"I'll come back and get you something to eat" Liana said
"Okay..." Sachie said and Liana nodded before leaving the room. Sachie sighed and rubbed her head. She turned to look at her mother and got out of bed. Sachie stood up before stumbling a bit as she tried to walk forward
J-just how fucked up...is my body? I-it hurts so much...
Sachie ended up collapsing but clenched onto the bed tightly
"A-agh..." Sachie groaned in pain and felt a touch on her hand before she was pulled up
"H-huh? Mother?" Sachie asked. Mitsuko smiled a little and held her hand
"Ah...glad you're safe" Mitsuko said and groaned in pain as she moved a bit
"D-don't move too much..." Sachie said
"And what about you? Doesn't your body ache?" Mitsuko asked
"J-just a bit...but I just wanted to check up on you. I'm relieved..." Sachie said before she rested her head against the bed
"Go back to bed. You need to rest your body" Mitsuko said and ruffled her hair softly
"I'm sorry..." Sachie said and trembled
"Hm? What for?" Mitsuko asked
"I-I didn't...listen to you. I-I only kept my focus on the fight and...I didn't notice her attack then y-you..." Sachie gritted her teeth and trembled clenching the blanket
"Y-you got hurt...because o-of me..." Sachie said as she cried softly and covered her eyes as tears started to roll down her cheeks. Mitsuko's expression soften and patted her head softly
"Sachie...look at me" Mitsuko spoke softly. Sachie sniffed and lifted her head up as she wiped her tears
"Sachie...it's okay. It's all over now. I'm still right here...so please don't blame yourself for this. You just wanted to protect everyone..." Mitsuko said
"B-but you got hurt...because of me" Sachie whimpered and Mitsuko wrapped an arm around her pulling her into a hug
"Shh...it's okay. I'm here..." Mitsuko whispered. Sachie trembled and hugged her mother back
"I-is it okay to get out now?" Sachie asked
"Probably but I think it's best to wait for them to tell us we're good" Mitsuko said
"Mm...okay" Sachie said and nodded
"Now go back and rest. Your body still isn't feeling well..." Mitsuko said
"I-I guess..." Sachie said as she rubbed her head softly. She walked back to her bed and sat down
"I want to see mom and Asuka already..." Sachie said
"We'll get to see them soon. Don't worry..." Mitsuko said as she smiled a little
I can't wait to see my babies again...
