So did you figure out when you’re coming to Houston? I texted and waited for Lucy to reply.

I knew she was nervous about spending a lengthy amount of time with me but she also said she wanted to see where things went between us. I didn’t push her much on the past and she only told me what she wanted to but my guess is that after she ran away her mother never stopped tormenting her.

I felt my phone buzz on the table beside me.

I have a new artist gala this weekend but that Monday I can fly out. I’d come sooner but the gala is a big deal and I worked really hard to put it together and I want to see how it turns out.

How long are you staying?

Ok fine… I’m worried you’ll expect too much out of me, I worry you think we’ll be able to pick right up after we left off and I don’t think we’ll be able to.

Lucy, I don’t expect that all. Sure I’d be thrilled if that happened but I just want you to come here and enjoy yourself and spend time with you and if you fall madly inlove with me again well then I’ll be happy with that too

Well then be prepared to get a roommate
