Katie's P.O.V
"Cause baby we'll be
At the drive-in
In the old man's Ford
Behind the bushes
Till I'm screaming for more
Down the basement
Lock the cellar door
And baby
Talk dirty to me."
Dylan sung, as we played.
"Fuck yeah!" I smiled, as that was all we had.
"You guys are incredible!" Eddie smiled at us.
"Wait, have you not heard them play before?" Vikki asked Eddie, shocked.
"No, I was only recruited... Well, today, actually..." Eddie confessed, smiling unashamed.
I snickered.
"Well, the chemistry is all there." Joe spoke up.
We all looked over and I smiled. He was right, and I could feel it.
"Is that not a bit... risky, though?" Vikki asked, searching for the right word.
"Well, we know he can play, he trusted we could play... I enjoy a bit a risky business." Dylan unashamedly smirked at Vikki.
"Was that-"
"Nah-Ah! Stevie, no..." I stopped my cousin from asking.
"Dinner!" Billie called out.
"Rules are rules, boys!" I reminded my band mates of the house rules, before we all dropped our instruments and went for some pizza.
. . .
After dinner I showed the guys the upstairs, with Kirk following. Vikki had to go home, so we saw her off, before heading up.
"So, we have the whole end of this corridor to ourselves. Joe and Billie sleep at the front of the house, the door to the far right, over there." I pointed behind us. "Bathroom is next door to theirs, then spare room one." I opened the door, revealing a spacious sized room, housing one double bed, a wardrobe, and guest room furniture. The walls were all a light cream colour, and the furniture was a nice oak brown, with black, black out, curtains, and an unmade bed.
"Then we have spare room two.... Two of you are gonna have to share, unless you want to crash in my room, Stevie?" I asked, opening the door at the end of the corridor. Same sized room, facing the back garden, black curtains, again, with a double, unmade, bed, and the same oak furniture.
"My room." Dylan walked out room two and into room one, shutting the door on us.
"Then our room?" Eddie asked Stevie, getting a look around the place.
"One bed..." Stevie pointed out.
"Yeah, so uh... My room is opposite Dylan's... uh, I have a single bed, but I also have a futon. I prefer sleeping on the futon, so you can either take my bed, Stevie, or we can bring my mattress into here. I'll grab you guys some bedding in a bit..." I explained.
"I wanna see your room." Stevie walked out room two and straight into mine. "This haz more personality!" He called out, complaining.
"Yeah, 'cause it's my room, Stevie! All my belongings are in there!" I laughed, walking into my room.
My room was big! The third biggest bedroom in the house. Four windows, over looking the back of the house, three of them looking over the garden, then one large window, at the back of the room, looking over the side of the house. My walls were white, but I had a shit ton of posters to the point you could only see very little wall. I had a big TV, at the front of the room, with a futon sat up, facing it, so I had a couch for when I'd play video games.
My bed was at the back of the room, hidden behind a half wall, sticking out. It was supposed to be a walk-in closet, but we took down the separation curtain and made it all one room. My wardrobe was behind my door, with two chests of drawers next to it, holding up my TV and gaming consoles. To the right side of my room, as you walked in, was another chest of draws, holding my record player, with a CD rack next to it.
Next to that was my guitar stand, then my washing basket, then my unused skateboard, then the half wall, with a small bedside table against it, facing my bedroom door. That drawer housed my sleeves/arm warmers, and beanies. On the other side of the wall was where my bedroom amps lived.
I had various figurines around my room. A few pop vinyl's and some figures of video game characters I liked, such as Wrench, from Watch Dogs 2, and Harley Quinn, from Batman.
All my furniture was black, with two red rugs, black and purple curtains, and purple light shades. I had two lamps, one on either side of my room.
This place was my sanctuary. Everything had it's place, and every place had a thing.
"I'll sleep in here." Stevie climbed up on my bed, testing it's softness.
"Monroe, do you have any bedding?" Dylan walked out his room, finding me in mine. "Whoa..." He looked around my room.
"You guys never seen a room like this before, have you?" Kirk smiled, standing at the doorway with Eddie on his left.
"No, I haven't..." Dylan replied, looking over my posters. "Duran Duran?" He asked me, pointing up at my D2 poster.
"Uh, John Taylor!" I pointed out the beautiful and talented John Taylor. "So, bedding! Uh, I have a thing for duvet covers, so you guys can take your pick..." I slightly cringed, having to confess.
"What does that mean?" Eddie chuckled, following me to the storage closet, opposite the bathroom.
"Well, I... I like to have funky duvet covers, so I own about five..." I cringed, opening the closet.
"Don't you only need two? One on the bed and one in the wash?" I heard Dylan ask, walking closer to us.
"Well, yeah... I'm not proud of it and it's really stupid, but I like duvet covers... I'm picky about them." I shrugged, feeling like an idiot.
"It's OK. We can work with that. Right, Dylan?" Eddie was so sweet and supportive.
"Well, sure, but with touring, you will just have to make do with what we get." Dylan replied, shrugging.
"Looney Tunes is the duvet I'm having. I have a Union Jack, Guns N' Roses, Peacock feathers, and the reversible red and black one..." I pulled the covers out the closet, having them pour on the floor.
Eddie and Dylan had to step back, seeing the mess I made.
"I'll take the Guns N' Roses." Dylan smirked, spying it out.
"I'll have the Peacock feathers. It's amazing colouring." Eddie picked it up, running a hand over the green and blues.
"Stevie can have the Union Jack. Kirk, you staying over?" I asked seeing my best friend at my bedroom door.
"Yeah, sure. I'll take the red and black one." He smiled.
I smiled back and pulled all the duvets out, having help from Eddie and Dylan.
Billie came upstairs and laughed, seeing me and my duvets.
"I know! I only need two, but they're so colourful and warm!" I looked at her, as she mimed zipping her mouth, heading into her room.
Kirk and I helped the boys make their beds, then we all partied for the night. I said they had all access to everything, and I they knew I wasn't a morning person, so they could make themselves at home, in the morning.
Dylan and Stevie each had a smoke, in the garden, before we all headed to bed. I couldn't believe this was all happening to me. We were so close. I had nothing, but now I feel I have the whole world... My life won't ever be the same again.
