Katie's P.O.V
"He can't come?!" Dylan asked us, as we stood outside the restaurant.
"He said his cousin made plans..." Eddie shrugged.
"Oh, great!" Dylan was mad.
"On the plus side... Do you guys want to meet Aerosmith?!" I smiled, leaning against the wall, with Eddie on my right, and Stevie sat on the ground, on my left.
"Can we?" Stevie looked up at me.
"HEY, STEVEN!" I called across the street, seeing Steven Tyler crossing over.
"No way..." Eddie, Stevie, and Dylan all stared at him.
"Hey, hey, hey! Look who is back in town!" Steven smiled, coming over to us.
The guys all stared, Stevie now standing up.
"Hey, Steven. This is my cousin Stevie, Eddie and Dylan." I pointed the guys all out. "They all love you, as much as I do. Stevie even saw the last tour. In PA."
"And how did we do, Stevie?" Steven asked him.
Stevie stared with his mouth hung open.
"Katie, come inside. It's cold out here!" Billie called from the restaurant doors.
"The show was epic! He loved it. Come on, guys!" I ushered them all inside, Steven taking it very well.
"So, all expenses payed by Aerosmith. Brad, Joe, and Joey are all inside. We're upstairs." I led the way. "Eddie has to pay for his own drinks, 'cause he didn't tell us we missed his birthday, by like... A week!" I explained to Steven and Billie. "And our lead singer couldn't join us, because his cousin, or something, made plans for them. It was his idea to celebrate!"
"Yeah, but you just blew him off." Eddie spoke up.
"Get it on, Monroe!" Dylan joked.
"Fuck off, man! Not like that!" I looked back at Dylan, smiling at him, as we made it to the upstairs.
"Oooh! A piano!" Stevie smiled, as we walked passed it.
"Later, mate!" I smiled at him.
We made it to the front of the building, on the far left side. A long table, which was three made into one.
Joe, Brad, Kimberly, Joey, and Linda, were all sat at the table, on the left side, so me and my band took up the right.
"I did invite Vikki and Krik to come join us. As far as I know, Krik is on his way. No word yet on Vikki." I told the guys as we all sat down. Me and Stevie, then Eddie on the end, with Dylan opposite Stevie.
"Sounds great." Eddie smiled at me, looking down the table.
"GUYS! This is my band!" I smiled at everyone.
"We were wondering what this was about!" Joey laughed, waving to them.
"Hello!" The three finally spoke to them, Eddie and Stevie waving back.
"Eddie, Stevie, and was it Dylan?" Steven asked, taking his seat.
"Yeah. I'm Dylan." Dylan smiled, going a little quiet.
"Nice to meet you all!" Linda smiled.
"Hey!" Stevie smiled at her.
Me and Eddie snickered, and we saw Tom walk up, with Terry, and Kirk.
"Hello, Hello!" Tom smiled at us. We always sat upstairs here. The downstairs can be a bit claustrophobic... Joe used to bring me and my mum here...
"Hey, Krik!" I smiled at my friend.
"Hey!" He laughed. "Thanks for the invite. Your singer not here yet?" He sat next to Dylan, taking his jacket off.
"Not coming, mate." Dylan filled him in. "Got another offer."
"Pretty low." Kirk frowned.
"You're telling me." Dylan raised his eyebrows.
A waitress came round passing us all menus.
"So, how are you guys all liking Boston, so far?" Billie asked, looking over at us.
"Eh." I shrugged, making everyone snicker.
"I lihe it." Stevie smiled that big smile of his.
"It's different than New York." Eddie smiled.
"A fellow Yankee?" Joey asked.
"So nice. They named us twice!" Eddie grinned.
"I like you already!" Joey smiled back.
"Jesus..." Dylan spoke under his breath, turning to me.
"What you ordering?" I asked him.
"Hawaiian pizza." Dylan looked at the menu.
"Oh, can we share?" Eddie asked him.
"Sure." The dickhead was being nice.
"Wanna share an OPP?" Kirk asked me.
"Rock and Roll!" I beamed.
"Oh, come on!" Joe looked at me, everyone accepting the inevitable.
"That's an actual thing?" Eddie looked to Dylan.
"Yeah. She does that a lot. She needs to bring it to the stage! Could you imagine?" Dylan laughed.
"Yeeeees!" I smiled at him. "Everyone will be saying it!"
"Rock and Roll!" Dylan grinned.
"I want Lasagne." Stevie piped in.
We all turned to him.
"What?" He asked us.
"You can have whatever you like, Stevie." I smiled at him, petting his shoulder.
He grinned.
. . .
We finished dinner, everyone talking, when Stevie got up and ran over to the piano.
"He loves it, doesn't he?" Kirk asked, as I shrugged at Stevie and shuffled up the bench.
"Multi talented." Eddie smiled, as I now sat next to him.
Vikki text me, just as dinner arrived. Her parents took her out for the day, and she had only just got home. She couldn't make it, but fair enough.
"So, any band names come up?" Tom asked us, as he was sat next to Kirk.
"Not really..." I frowned. "We need something good."
I heard Stevie go into 'Janie's Got a Gun'.
"Oh, a classic song for a dinner." Brad joked, looking over to Stevie.
"'King' is actually the best we've had, but I don't want that. We'll be marked as Queen's competitors." Dylan sighed, stirring his cola, with the straw.
Stevie started singing along.
"Well, what about naming the band after something that means a lot to all of us?" Eddie asked us.
I looked over at Stevie.
"What did her daddy do...? What did he put you through...?"
"This song is truly incredible." Kirk looked back at Stevie, as I was staring.
"Mhm. So, what do we have? King, Rock N' Roll, Runaways, Red Runaway?!" Dylan joked.
"Lame! It wasn't even my idea. I just want to be in a band." Eddie gagged.
"His last band was called 'Red Runaway'!" Dylan laughed, telling Tom, Brad, and Kimberly.
"We've heard a lot worse!" Brad laughed.
"You better believe that!" Tom chuckled.
"Janie's got a gun..." I whispered along with Stevie's singing.
I looked over at Steven, who was talking with Joe, Billie, and Terry.
"Janie's got a gun..." I whispered, thinking hard.
"Janie's got a gun..." I bit my lip, slowly no longer singing it, but rather just saying it.
"Are you alright, Monroe?" Eddie asked me, looking at me concerned.
"Janie's got a gun..." I turned to him. "Janie's Fund... You know it?" I asked.
"Yeah. Who doesn't? I donate often." He replied, nodding at me.
"Well, what if some of our proceeds from the band, goes to the fund..." I was getting one brilliant idea. "The fans would be our ammunition, right? Keep us going." I looked at Eddie, who nodded.
"Yeah. That sounds great!" He smiled, Dylan and Kirk listening in.
"Well, we're the gun, then. We're Janie's Gun. Fighting for her and those like her." I looked at the guys.
"The fans are our ammunition, we donate a percentage to Janie's Fund - Apart of everything we make! We're contributing to something great! So, what if we names ourselves 'Janie's Gun'?!" I asked.
