Katie's P.O.V
"That's actually Joe Perry..." Dylan was staring at Joe, as Joe was in the kitchen, fixing up some dinner with Billie, and Dylan was sat next to me, on the couch.
Stevie had been playing the piano for the last hour, with Eddie sat with him, sometimes playing with him, or learning from my cousin.
Vikki was getting us more drinks.
"Yeah, man. I'm sorry I didn't tell you." I looked at Dylan, as we both sat with our guitars.
"Nah, I understand... I'm sorry I got upset." Dylan looked at me, speaking honestly.
I smiled at him and he smiled back, before we started strumming again, playing 'Look What The Cat Dragged In'.
The drum kit was a piled mess, behind the second sofa, which faced the door to Billie's office/library, which was to our right.
There was a sliding door, between the kitchen and study, leading out into the garden.
It was some real fancy shit.
Dylan hasn't left my side once, staying close and speaking quietly. I think he was afraid of saying something stupid, in front of Joe.
Joe was one of his idols, after all...
The doorbell rang, just as Vikki came back.
"I'll get it!" She called, placing our drinks on the coffee table, before heading to the door.
"Thank you!" Billie called back to her.
"And thank you." Dylan smirked at Vikki, grabbing his glass of cola.
Vikki didn't hear, as she was gone, but I snickered.
Dylan looked at me, smiling, shrugging at me. "She's nice."
"She's great." I told him, smiling.
"Guess who?!" Vikki smiled, walking back into the living room.
I looked over and felt my heart speed up. "Kirk!" I placed my guitar next to me and ran up to him, as he stood in the doorway.
He grinned and we hugged each other. "Better late, than never." He told me.
"Sorry about that..." I cringed, with a guilty smile, holding his shoulders, looking at him.
"I didn' know Krik were a name..." I heard Stevie behind me.
"Kirk. Not Krik." I turned to look at my cousin.
"Where the fuck did you pull Krik from?" Dylan asked, sat on the couch still, looking over at Stevie all confused.
"Actually, Kirk spelt backwards is Krik." Eddie pointed out, talking to Dylan.
"Hello, Einstein." Dylan smiled at Eddie, sarcastically.
Eddie rolled his eyes and got up.
"Hey, Kirk. I'm Eddie." He walked up to us.
"Hi. So, you're in the band?" Kirk asked, standing on my left, in the doorway still.
"Yeah. I'm playing bass." Eddie smiled. "What about you? You play anything?"
"Guitar, but I'm not interested in being in a band." Kirk shrugged.
Kirk was wearing a black Misfits shirt, with black skinny jeans, black converse, and his black hat. I've missed him...
"Fair enough. Would be pretty low of you, Monroe, to snap up Dylan, if you had a guitarist here already...." Eddie teased.
"I know." I nodded, getting a pat on the shoulder from Vikki, before she went to sit with Dylan.
"Iron Maiden hav' three guitarist." Stevie commented, glancing over at us, from playing the piano.
"And they also have an Eddie." Dylan chuckled, Vikki sat on his right.
"At least I can play an instrument!" Eddie laughed, directing our attention to his bass, which was over by the piano.
"How long you been playing?" Kirk asked, leaning on the doorframe.
"A long while. Wanna hear something?" Eddie offered.
"Yeah, sure." Kirk smiled.
'Yay! You're making friends!' I thought looking at Kirk.
Kirk sat on the sofa, as Eddie grabbed his bass, and connected it to his amp, that was next to the drum kit. This amp was his personally. He brought it with him, whiles Dylan and I just shared amps.
Eddie started to play a warm up, before going into 'Look What The Cat Dragged In'.
"Whoa!" Dylan stopped him, mid song. "You don't know that one, yet!"
"I know... I heard you both playing it. I liked it... Just made it up a bit..." Eddie shrugged.
"It's one of our songs - Called 'Look What The Cat Dragged In'." I told Eddie, sat on Kirk's right, with Dylan on my right.
"It's good. You could use a change on the pre chorus part, but I like how it sounds. But! wouldn't this..." He played a the verse, then a little something, which went into the chorus. "Be more smoother?" He asked us.
"I like that..." Dylan looked at Eddie, speaking to himself.
As Dylan spoke, my attention went to Stevie, who was playing something on the piano.
I got up and walked over to him, standing behind Eddie. "What's that?" I asked him.
"Just sumthin'?" He shrugged, looking at me, shrugging.
Eddie looked back at us.
"Play it again..." I told Stevie, getting an idea.
He played the tune again. It was soft, but bouncy... If that is a combo?
I noticed Dylan get up, plugging his guitar into a second amp, and Eddie plucking a few strings.
Stevie finished and Eddie picked it up, fiddling around.
Vikki moved closer to Kirk, whispering to him, and I saw Joe stood in the kitchen doorway.
"Monroe..." Dylan handed me my guitar.
I took it, getting the strap to where it was comfortable for me, hearing Dylan pick up from Eddie.
"Instead of this part, try this..." He told Eddie, playing the same melody, but on a different string.
Stevie played the song again, on the piano, but stopped half way through, to set up his drum kit.
I watched the fret Dylan played, and followed him into this... whatever this was.
"Here." Dylan helped me find a better position for my hand. "Then, this..."
He played Stevie's little piece.
I played with him, Eddie following us in. We played the same ten second tune four times, before Stevie did a drumroll and started bashing around.
We snickered at him, as he distracted us.
"OK. Got it... Play again!" Stevie looked at us.
"One, two, three..." Dylan counted us in and we started to play, this time Stevie providing some drums behind us.
Vikki and Kirk started clapping.
"I love it!" Vikki grinned.
Dylan looked at her, smiling in triumph, when his smile changed, now looking as if he just remembered something.
"Hold on..." He placed his guitar by the sofa, leaning it on the armrest, before he ran to his bag, in the hall.
He grabbed something and came back to us, holding his songs book. "Monroe, Eddie, play it again... Stevie, speed up your pace..." He instructed us.
"Want us to speed up too?" I asked him, before we started.
"No, play it the same way." Dylan waved his hand at me, looking through his book.
