Katie's P.O.V
I climbed out the passenger seat of the van, taking in Salem, and looked up at the Witches House. Stevie climbed out the back and stood on my right.
"I'm home!" He joked, raising his hands up, looking at the house.
I laughed and nodded. "Welcome home, Stevie." I pet his shoulder.
"OK! I'm going to fill up the van, you guys hang up the posters. I'll meet you at the factory!" Dylan told us, sat in the drivers seat.
"Here. Let's split." Eddie closed the van door, letting Dylan go, before handing us a share of the band posters we've had made.Eddie split the pile into two and handed me half, and I halved that with Stevie, and he with Todd.
Stevie and I headed to the right, and Eddie and Todd to the left.
"My birthday's tomorrow... You get meh anythin'?" Stevie smiled.
"Yeah. You want it now?" I asked him, stopping in my steps.
"Sure!" Stevie beamed, stopping just a head of me.
I slid my right hand into the back pocket of my jeans. My jeans were grey, with a Ouija board pattern on them. Thought it would be very suiting in Salem.
I couldn't find his present, so I held up my poster-filled left hand, having him hold for a second, as I reached deeper.
"AH-HA!" I smiled, bringing my hand back round.
Stevie looked so excited.
I held up my fist and gave him the middle finger. "You can wait!" I grinned.
"Ah! No fair!" Stevie grumbled, walking off.I laughed and caught up to him, as he pulled out a pack of cigarettes. He put one in his mouth and switched the pack for his lighter.
"Meanie." He smiled at me.
"Ah, sad, but true." I snickered, with a shrug.
I stopped at a lamp post and taped up a poster, as Stevie lit his cigarette."The witch trails were bull, man... If you goh caugh' you were dead either way..." Stevie started.
"I know... Reckon any of the Monroe's were accused?" I asked my cousin, as we walked.
It was a bright sunny day, so I tide my jacket around my waist.
Stevie stuck a poster on a corner shop wall, and shrugged. "Maybe... I haven' heard anythin' of it..."
"I wonder if my dad would have known... I think he was interested in that stuff, along with the Egyptians." I wondered out loud.
"I wanna see thah pyramids!" Stevie smiled, looking down at me.
"Yeah! And the Sphinx!" I nudged him.
"Y'ah!" He smiled. We reached the end of the street and headed for the main roads, hanging posters up, here and there. We walked by some teens, who seemed interested in what we were doing, so we stopped to talk with them for a short while. They took a couple of posters and said they'd come to our show, bringing some friends with them. They were really nice and supportive.
We made our way to the Ribbon Factory, with only two posters left, both from Stevie.
We saw the van and walked over, seeing no sign of Dylan. We shrugged to each other and climbed into the van, getting some shade.I helped myself to the water bottle, sitting in the passenger seat, with Stevie at the wheel. We weren't going to leave the guys. We were just chilling.
"You wan' sum berries?" Stevie reached into the back seat.
"Can I have a strawberry?" I asked him, seeing a juicy looking one.
"Goh ahead." Stevie held his fruit pot out to me.
I smiled and grabbed it, excited to taste it. I loved strawberries. They were my favourite.I opened my mouth, ready to bite, when Dylan's hand came out of nowhere, taking it from me and throwing it to the ground.
"DYLAN!" I whined, as he stood at the passenger door staring at me.
"You will not believe who is here!" He ignored me, wide eyed and shaking with adrenaline.
"Who?" Stevie asked him, offering me the last strawberry.
"Peter Finley!" Dylan beamed.
"Who's that?" I asked him, taking the strawberry.
"Nah way!" Stevie looked through the windows, checking over the street.
"He's just gone inside! He saw our posters, man!" Dylan was beaming.
"Who is he?" I asked again.
"Holy shit! Did ya meet 'im?" Stevie climbed out the van, running around the front to see Dylan.
"Who is he?!" I asked the two, raising my voice, strawberry in hand.
"Didn't get a chance, but he saw me hanging up a poster, that Eddie left behind. He took it off the wall, keeping it on him. We cannot fuck this up." Dylan held Stevie's shoulders.
"Holy shit. Holy shit. Holy shit." Stevie started jumping up and down.I pressed my hand to the horn and held it there, making the guys jump and everyone on the street look this way.
"Monroe, knock it off!" Dylan waved at me to stop.
I held on, glaring at him.
"Katie! I's loud!" Stevie covered his ears.
"WHO ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!" I shouted at my friends.
"What's going on?!" Eddie ran over to us, with Todd behind him.
I held on.
"KATIE, KNOCK IT OFF! I'M SORRY!" Dylan shouted, with sad eyes.
I removed my hand and looked at him. "Don't leave me out..." I frowned.
"I'm sorry. I was just excited." He held onto the passenger door, his attention only on me."Stevie?" Eddie asked my cousin.
"Peter Finley is a music producer. He works for EMI records. We're talking Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd-"
"QUEEN!" Stevie called out.
"Queen!" Dylan nodded to Stevie, smiling. "He has our poster, he's sniffing around. We need to give this the best we have!" My best friend looked at me.
"What was he wearing?!" Eddie asked.
"I won't say. I don't want you guys trying to look for him in the crowd. I need you to jam with me." Dylan made a point. We'd all be freaking out otherwise.
"Y'ah, good point!" Stevie nodded. "I can't believe he's here..."
"Where is the label based?" I asked Dylan, handing a water bottle to Eddie.
"Los Angeles!" He replied."Los Angeles..." I sighed, dreamily, strawberry forgotten.
"Half hour drive. Let's get home, pick our outfits, rehearse. Tomorrow, it's all yours Stevie!" Eddie suggested, as tomorrow just became a huge deal.
"Y'ah!" Stevie made a fist, punching the air. "Let's go!"The guys all climbed in the van, Dylan taking the wheel, and we drove back home.
As soon as we got in, we lost Stevie, as Liv was over, again. Stevie ran to the piano and started playing songs, to grab Liv's attention, whiles Eddie, Dylan, and I ran upstairs to put outfits together. Hell knows what Todd was doing...
