Now I think is the time to bring the most dreadful topic which we both have been avoiding since this morning. I don't want to disrupt the atmosphere which is much peaceful. But what can I say I need answers now and in a way I am very curious person. So I start,

'Alexander? I wanted to ask you something. Don't get offended or anything and please be honest with me. Can I?'

I watch him carefully and as soon as I ask this question his whole body stiffens which tells me he knows what I am going to bring up now. He notices that I am watching him so he recovers quickly and puts up a small fake smile and says, 'Yeah of course.'

'Well, I think you do know what I am talking about. I am sorry if it is too difficult for you to talk about it but you should also understand that its important for me to know answers. I deserve to know the truth. So tell me, what was it three days, the whole thing and no lying.'

He starts speaking to my relief as I was worried that he will not respond. 'Actually, its just that... that it was a dare. It was nothing. Seriously Violet it was dare. Nothing else.'

'Okaaayyyy.' It is so obvious that he is lying but I just can not ask him to spit it out. Clearly, by the looks of him he knows I am not going to believe his lie and have not believed his lie. I mean come on, if it was a simple dare, then why did he stutter so much when I asked about it. But I let it go 'cause it's now up to him whenever he tells me, I will listen that time. I can not do anything about it.

'Fine let's go. We have already wasted our time very much. I mean we missed two lectures.' I speak after one minute of awkward silence. Also I am grateful for the fact that he did not look into my 'not feeling well' fact much. I hope he does not ask any other ques...

'By the way why did you suddenly felt dizziness? I mean many a times I also forget or do not have time to eat a proper breakfast that does not mean I almost faint before break.' He says.

Well I spoke too soon, didn't I? 'Yeah, you are right, maybe it does not happen with you but it does happen to me.' I say this while averting my eyes hoping he also buys my lie. I don't want to let him know why I almost kind of fainted before. Not wanting him to catch on my lie. I mean I know we just agreed to be good friends and all that but that does not mean I will go out of my way and tell him everything.

'I guess we both still are weary of each other.' He says looking or should I say staring at my face for long enough searching for something.

'I know you know that I am lying but trust me on this, you do not want to know this.' I speak up.

'Whatever concerns you, I want to know that.' He says. I look up almost instantaneously when he says this, which would have cracked my neck, instead of saying something which will make things awkward, I decide to laugh it out.

I do my fake laugh which is almost believable to everyone except some close people, then I say, 'Oh my God, that is soooo cliché. Gosh! I almost would have believed you if I did not know you any better.'

He seems to have recovered from whatever trance he was in after my laughter fit and tries to laugh it out too.

'Ye..yeah.' He stutters which he covers, well try to cover, by clearing his throat again and then continues, while I act like I did not notice this and try to act nonchalant which I think works,

'Yeah, I mean I was watching a movie yesterday, which one... well I do not remember it's name but this line was used in it, well I thought at that time Oh my God, it is such a typical movie line. Pick a new line. Bring something new.' He says the last part in a girlish kind of voice which causes me to laugh again but this time for real.
