The drive from my house to Kings cross station is nearly an hour since my mother would rather pull out all of her hair than live anywhere near Muggles or anyone else for that matter. She likes her privacy and with our status, we don't get it often.
I hear the rain start to hit the car making me grin and stare out the window to see the rain coming down hard.
I do love the rain but I hope it stops before we reach the station I'd hate for my hair to get wet.
"Do you want a drag?" Draco asks from beside me. I turn around to see him handing me the joint. I gladly take it from him and inhale the toxic fumes, pulling away I hand it back to him.
I grab my tiny backpack fishing through it and blowing out the smoke while I find what I'm looking for. I pull out another joint quickly lighting it.
The car was filled with so much smoke already. I know it would smell like it when we left out but anguses knows a spell so I'm not worried.
I lay my head on Draco's lap taking another hit of my joint. " Did you know potter got expelled?" Draco marvels looking down at me.
I roll my eyes pulling my joint away from my lips blowing smoke in his face furrowing my brows as I do.
"Did he? No offense but you said that our first year too, but he just got put on the quidditch team."
His obsession with harry is getting annoying. All he does is plot against him. It does nothing but gets him into trouble.
I remember I got my first and only howler my first year because I decided to go with Draco to spy on Harry at Hagrid's. Earning us detention, my mother was livid one of the few times she's truly scared me.
He rolls his eyes at my statement taking a long drag of his joint, rolling down the window slightly. "This is different mill's- he exposed magic to a muggle." He explains smugly with a smirk plastered on his face.
" how do you even know this?" I sit up from his lap grabbing my backpack again, scooting down to the small space on the floor beside him my stomach to the seat.
" Father told me," he shrugs, taking one more hit of his joint then throwing it out the window.
Bloody hell, if I had a galleon for how many times he's told me that, I'd be richer than me mum.
I glance up at him not saying anything, I won't burst his bubble but I know they probably didn't expel him and he never gets in trouble.
I fish through my bag grabbing my small silver compact mirror, setting it flat down on the seat. I move the joint that rests in my lips to the side of it, fishing through my bag again I grab a piece of small paracement and start rolling it up.
I inhale the smoke from the joint keeping it between my lips. I blow it out through the other side of my mouth. After I finish rolling it up I go inside my bag one more time to pull out a tiny bag with white powder in it.
I take one more drag of the joint handing it to Draco who throws it out the window. He rolls it back up. I take the white powder out of the bag tapping it on the mirror using my fingers to line it up, putting my hair behind my ear, I grab the rolled up paracement placing it on top of the white powder I snort it, sniffing the toxic powder feeling the familiar burn in my nose I start sniffing and rubbing it.
" Here," I hand him the mirror. He takes it from me quickly snorting the rest of the powder sniffing lightly while he rubs his nose. Once he hands it back to me I wipe off the residue with my finger, sucking it off.
I look at myself in the small mirror and fix my hair fluffing it up a bit. I throw the mirror back in my bag, getting up to sit down back in the seat I lay my head on dracos shoulder. I could already feel the coke kick in as everything suddenly got brighter, more colorful.
" Are you gonna sit with George and Fred when we get on the train?" Draco asks looking sideways at me. I lift my head from his shoulders so I can see his whole face. I could tell it already hit him. His pupils were huge. not to mention red from the weed. I had no doubt mine looked the same.
" Yes I am, but I'll meet you so we can ride the carriages," I say putting my head back on his shoulder. I could still hear the rain falling from outside, not as hard but it was still raining.
" Did you bring an umbrella?" I ask when I turn my head to look at Draco. He looks deep in thought about something, he's been looking like that a lot lately.
"Um.. yea I was cloudy when I woke up so I told the elves to put one in the car," he recalls leaning down, grabbing an umbrella from the floor that I didn't notice until now.
The car comes to a stop Aengus pulls the tiny window down looking at us through the rearview mirror. "We're here," he says in his ruff voice.
Draco opens the door quickly, " stay here." He demands closing the door back before I could even protest.
After a few seconds, he opens the door back with our luggage in one hand and the umbrella in the other holding it out for me so I can step out.
"Glad to know you have some manners." I joke getting out of the car.
He rolls his eyes, " Yea yea c'mon we're gonna miss the train." Draco closes the door after making sure I'm fully under the umbrella, we start walking to platform 9 3/4.
We keep walking silently until we get to the wall between 9 and 10, walking through it Draco puts the umbrella down handing it to me so he can get a better hold of our luggage. I know if I asked if he needs help he'll tell me no so I won't ask.
As we walk inside the train I see many parents talking to their children smiling and laughing, some crying seeing their child leave knowing they won't see them till the holidays. My mother would never cry, she would always tell me crying is a weakness and is for weak people. Silvers are not weak, she would constantly say.
She also would never come here to the stations either, too many muggles, too many poor people I could see the disgust on her face. She always sends an elf or Mrs. Malfoy would come. Even when I left for my first year at Hogwarts Mrs. Malfoy walked us through the pillars for the first time and waved us off as the train left.
I finally looked away from the happy family, only feeling envy. Once we got inside we started to look for a car to sit in. I grab a cigarette from my bag flicking on the lighter to light the fag. Draco glances back at me for a brief second before abruptly stopping and turning around snatching the cigarette from my lips.
" mill's we cant smoke out here you know that we'll get in trouble." he scowls throwing the fag on the ground and stomping on it he turns back around and continues walking. I roll my eyes and huff, bending down. I grab the smashed cigarette and throw it back in my bag following Draco, mocking and flipping him off as I do.
"I found one," Draco says from in front of me. He opens the car's door," get out now," he seethes to someone. A bunch of what looks to be first-year scramble out looking scared.
we get inside and sit down, I hear the train horn blow feeling the train move. I knew we were off. Crabb and Goyle walk in a few seconds afterward. Blaise and pansy following behind them bickering about something I can't hear.
And that's my cue to leave.
It's not that I don't like them, they're okay, but I'm too high to deal with their rubbish squabbling. And frankly, I don't care enough to even pretend to care.
I get up from my seat as they sit down, "Hey guys," I mumble quickly grabbing the door sliding it open.
"I'll see you when the train stops." I turn my attention to Draco who looks high out of his mind. He blinks turning to me and nodding.
With that I nod back sliding the door close and walking off to find my favorite twins.
