After helping luna find her uniform which was hanging from one of the lights in the 3rd-floor corridor, I walked to my first class of the day, walking inside the D.A.D.A classroom to see students already inside, but the teacher wasn't there yet.
I spot Draco in the front of the class sitting down talking with Blaise next to him. I'm still angry at him but we always sit together, walking up to them I tap on Blaise's shoulder making him turn around to look at me, halting their conversation.
"Thanks for holding my seat, Blaise."
He looks at me confused, turning his torso to look at Draco who hasn't turned around to face me.
"mill's this is my seat," he says turning back to me. I furrow my brows and look at Draco who hasn't said anything. Why hasn't he told him to get up?
"I always sit next to Draco you know this," I state an obvious fact looking back at Blaise who hasn't moved.
"Well, I'm sitting here."
"Draco tell him to move," I tell him looking back at Draco, he looks up at me and shrugs.
"I mean he was there first," he mumbles turning his face away from me again.
"Draco-" my sentence was interrupted by a paper bird flying over my head. I turn my attention away from Draco and to the paper bird flying magically in the air.
Oos and awes come from the class as we watch the tiny thing fly, all of a sudden it stops and burns in the air turning to ash and falling in front of 2 Gryffindor girls, Parvati and Padma I think their names were.
"good morning children!"
I turn to the back of the class to see a woman in an all-pink outfit smiling strangely holding her wand out.
"ordinary wizardry level examination" she enunciates using her wand to write on the chalkboard at the front of the class.
"o-w-l more commonly known as o.w.l'' she exclaims brightly. She gives me the creeps, she has a permanent smile on her face while she continues to walk towards the front. She looks at me and stops.
"I think it best you find your seat," she says smiling at me. I give one more look to Draco who has now turned his head toward the front of the classroom not looking at me.
"certainly." I walk to the back of the class, the only available seat I see is next to Neville Longbottom.
perfect.
I internally roll my eyes and quietly sit down next to him. I glance over to him and see his hand out in front of him folded together, he glances at me quickly but looks away. Hearing something drop in front of me, I look down seeing a thick old book. Dark art defenses basic for beginners. I furrow my brows and look to the front of the class.
"from now on you'll be following a carefully constructed, ministry approved defense magic," she says with a creepy smile still on her face talking to the class. I look back down at the book opening it. it's so old, I don't understand, there's no spells in this book.
"and how is theory supposed to prepare us for what's out there?" I look up and see Harry talking to the professor.
"There is nothing out there dear." she says looking out the window then back at Harry. "who do you imagine that wants to attack children like yourself?" she questions further.
" Oh I don't know, maybe lord Voldemort," he says sarcastically. Gasps form in the classroom I look at him and furrow my brows. I see Neville from the corner of my eye looking up quickly as Harry says the dark lord's name, then looking back down to his book nervously.
