Broken Smiles (A Sebaciel story)

Chapter 6

The following morning there's was no sun to shine, just the soft pitter patter of the rain droplets falling upon the roof and other objects outside. The teenage bluenette had been sleeping in a lovely slumber, everything seeming to be peaceful. That was until the tall and devious demon entered the room to wake the boy.

"Ah, good morning my little master. How did you sleep?" Sebastian questioned with a smile while going to retrieve the clothes out of Ciel's closet. He picked a lovely green outfit for the teen. The boy looked annoyed and grumbled at having to be awake. He didn't speak, only rubbed the sleep out of his eyes before sitting on the edge of his bed to allow said butler to dress him. He yawned slightly.

Sebastian cocked his head slightly and couldn't help but chuckle. "What are you laughing at?" Ciel snapped, finally having spoken for the first time that morning.

"Oh, nothing my lord. I am just finding it rather humorous at how tired one such as young as yourself is able to be. The day has only just begun and you already look ready to crawl back under the covers to go for another eight hours of sleep." The butler's voice was always so smooth and deep, it felt light as a feather and honestly was a soothing tone to listen to. Ciel for sure could fall alseep to it.

"Why don't you keep making foolish comments like that first thing in the morning and see how thin my patience is?" The young lord hadn't looked remotely impressed and had began to eat the food that had been set on the cart for him. As he chewed the small bites of food he took a deep breath. He sighed then began to sip at his tea. "Alright, what do I have to do today?" He asked the question he despised asking because he knew it could go a number of ways. He closed his eyes and waited for the answer.

"It seems that Lady Elizabeth was wanting to have lunch with you today, sir. It's highly likely she plans to stay for the entirety of the day though, meaning I have cleared up your schedule quite a lot in order to allow it to work. You will have to finish up a number amount of work this morning to make up for the lost time." Sebastian had begun to explain. Ciel opened his eyes and gave an annoyed look. Elizabeth is coming over? What a drag. He had thought to himself as this meant he had to put up a front, give silly fake smiles and act as if he was enjoying himself when truly he would rather be doing anything else. "Don't give me that look, young master. You can't help that she is your fiance. You are to spend some quality time with her once in awhile and allow for her to enjoy her time. It's what you must do in order to keep her happy." The raven haired male had spoken with furrowed brows.

"I am quite aware of that, Sebastian. I would much rather not have to be entitled to be spending so much time with her. I didn't ask to be betrothed to her. I don't see why I should be forced to do such things because it's part of my title, as if I asked to be with such an annoyance of a girl." Ciel clicked his tongue and his annoyance was written all across his face an expression, showing clear disgust at the mere thought of having to be around Elizabeth, his curly haired, blonde lover. If one could even call it that.

The teen had stood up and began walking towards his study, Sebastian following close behind. "You mustn't say those disgraceful things aloud, my lord. Whatever would you do if she happened to hear you? How would you climb out of that hole? It's not as if I would have the right to rid you of her."

"Perhaps not...It isn't as if she is here currently. I'm fine for the time being. I'll work in my study to finish all the paperwork and other work I have to get done. Come and get me about thirty minutes before she arrives, alright?" Ciel went and entered his study then sat down at his desk.

"Yes, my lord." The tall man bowed and exited the study, shutting the door behind him and going to tend to his tasks.
