the new girl

Hey girls what can I get you pops said talking to toni and Kennedy. Um I'll have a chocolate milkshake,fries and a burger toni said. What about you? He said facing Kennedy. Um the same but can you make it a strawberry milkshake she said. Toni zoned out thinking about how that was Cheryl's order but pushed the thought away. So kennedy what school r u going to? starting at riverdale high tomorrow she said. That's grat I go there I can show you around if you dont mind.

Cheryl, veronica and betty had pulled up to pops. Is that toni betty said looking through the window. And who is that with her? Cheryl said looking confused. We dont have to go in we can go somewhere else veronica said. No it's fine cheryl said walking the opposite way not even looking at toni veronica and betty following behind. Toni and Kennedy both looked over there way and toni rolled her eyes.

Hi I'm Kennedy she said looking at the 3 girls. They all just looked when veronica introduced herself. Hi I'm veronica this is betty and that's cheryl. You must be new cheryl said with a little attitude. Yea I just moved yesterday she said. And toni is basically like the first person I talked to. Toni got up and walked over. She didn't said anything to the 3 girls but said hey Kennedy can we go? Kennedy said sure. Nice to meet you guys she said as toni grabbed her wallet and took 30 dollars out grabbing Kennedys hand  putting the money  on the counter and going towards the door. "Pops im paying for me and Kennedy. Thanks for the food And keep the change" and with that the two left
Cheryl just sat there like she was in shock. She felt this horrible feeling like she was jealous or angry. We can go if you want betty said? No let's stay cheryl said as they ordered and ate.

Toni and Kennedy were walking towards Kennedys house. Hey are we friends? Kennedy said. Of course your my new bestfriend toni said. Oh good Kennedy said. So did you know those girls back there she asked? Yea I'm not really on good terms with them right now. Wanna talk about it Kennedy ask? Next time toni said walking up to Kennedys house.

Toni hugged her and put her headphones in and jogged home.
Cheryl got home to see her mom and dad were home. It was just them. Jason is in college.
Hey sweetie how was school her mom said
It was ok cheryl said running upstairs closing her door and going to the bathroom and cried. She turned on the shower still crying. She officially lost her bestfriend. Once she finished crying she texted toni out of anger.

Chery threw her phone on the floor and went to get in the shower. She didn't know why loosing her bestfriend hurted so bad. Once she got out the shower she got ready for bed and laid down. She thought to herself if toni wants to replace me with that girl fine!
Toni got in her bed but not before grabbing her diary.

Life is still bad. I met this girl named Kennedy and shes cool. I think the reason I even decided to ask her to lunch was because I want to get any type of feelings for cheryl out. I actually like Kennedy as a friend and not even a bestfriend but I guess I kinda told her we were besties. Just when I though it was all over cheryl texted me. She talked about our bestfriend rules. If anybody read those messages they would say cheryl was hurt and I was acting like a real bitch. I honestly don't even care about why I'm mad anymore I just want it all to be over. But I feel like it's just started

The next day
Toni was in the car on her way to school she had just picked up Kennedy. Turns out they both love one direction. They were jamming to olivia when toni turned the music down. Hey Kennedy I need to tell you something really quick toni said

So the girl with the red hair yesterday that's cheryl we were bestfriends for really long time and everyone at school knew us and we we are like really popular. But we got in this argument and kinda like just over. So there are alot of girls in this school who want to be my friend to take Cheryl's place. There are going to be lots of eyes on you since your with me and it might be overwhelming but I'll be there to help you ok?
Wow that is alot Kennedy said chuckling as they pulled up to the school.
Everyone was on the lawn including cheryl, Betty and veronica. Toni got out and waited for Kennedy who linked there arms and started walking. Everyone one was looking or taking a picture. Are you dating someone asked. Toni shook her head no. She my bestfriend Kennedy said. Everyone looked shocked. As the two girls ignored it and walked in the school.
Veronica Betty and cheryl just stood there.
Look I'm so tired of this shit I'm going to have a nice conversation with toni veronica said walking into the school before betty and cheryl could stop her. The ran after her
Toni was at Kennedys locker helping her.

Look! I'm not about to argue with you over cheryl. If you want to be cheryl bestfriend just said that. I'm done with all three of you. Before anyone knew it veronica slapped toni. Toni didn't even move she just chuckled a little but as she was about to hit veronica back Kennedy stepped in. Please dont she said holding Toni's hand. I thought you were gonna give me a tour? I really dont want you to get in trouble please toni. Kennedy said. Fine let's go toni said angrily and grabbed Kennedys arm.
Cheryl and betty stood behind veronica watching the whole thing. Cheryl didn't even feel the tears coming down her face.
Come on cher betty said grabbing Cheryl's arm and taking her to the bathroom.

She was there when I came out to my parents, when me and josie broke up, for everything and now shes acting like I'm a stepped on piece of gum. Cheryl said this while currently crying into Betty's arms
