"How was your day Mummabear?" I asked, sitting on the couch and crossing my legs reaching forward for my earl gray tea.
"Pretty good, I think the interview went well."
"That's great! Did you flash a bit of boob?" I asked, started to laugh as I settled back in the couch.
"Well, I never have to flash too much because they are already up in everyone's business to begin with." She said matter of factly. I looked over at her, trying to keep my face as serious as possible. Failing miserably as we locked eyes and both of us bursting into fits of laughter. She leant of and kissed the top of my head.
"I'm going to do the dishes then I'm going to bed. I'll see you in the morning." I said kissing her cheek and heading into the kitchen. I took my phone out of my pocket and put it on the bench next to the sink. My phone had been steadily receiving notifications since late afternoon, many of them were Facebook friend request from kids that I recognized from my first day. I focused my attention back on the last of the dishes in the sink listening to the notification slowly die down. By the time I was finished, and all the benches were wiped down and everything was in order one more notification rang out, grabbing my attention as I picked my phone back up and looked at the screen.
Asher Beckett sent you a friend request.
As I made my way to my room to turn in for the night I confirmed or deny multiple friend requests, not touching one. I clicked on Asher Beckett's profile, scrolling through photos and posts picking up small tid bits of information. I still hadn't pressed accept; I didn't want to give him the satisfaction. My eyes continued to scan his profile the accept button looming at the top of the screen. Without thinking any more deeply about it I pressed accept.

The rest of the house was quiet as me and Jax played video games in the rec room. The tv making various sounds as our Mortal Kombat characters battled. My phone buzzed in my back pocket and I dropped the controller and my character stopped fighting.
"Booty call? But it's only 10:30, bit early for you isn't it Ash?" Jax asked smirking, mischief behind his whisky colored eyes.
"Shut up." Was all I said throwing a pillow in his general direction. I still hadn't told him about Izzy, every time I thought about what I might say my words failed me. In all of our 18 years neither of us had a girlfriend and having a mate was that but a thousand times more serious.
Isabella Beezley accepted your friend request. Write on her wall?
I smiled, noting that it took her two hours before accepting. It was a small silly victory but a victory none the less. Bringing me one step closer to her.
"I found my mate." I blurted out, realizing there is no time like the present.
"Okay, cool" Jax said, his eyes not leaving the screen as he continued to watch various characters fight. I continued to look at him, his eyes slowly widening, he turned his head dropping his controller also, finally comprehending what I had said.
"Wait, what!" Jax exclaimed, his hand covering his mouth in shock as if he were some teenage girl.
"Are you fucking serious? Are you just going to keep staring at me like a weirdo?" I said, swiping at his hand that was pressed against his mouth. The next second Jax was up and tackling me off the bean bag I was perched on top of.
"Sorry, that's fucking amazing! You with a mate? That's crazy bro!"
"But not unrealistic, though right?" I asked trying not to sound so sad at his shock.
"Not at all, I'm really happy for you man! I just have one concern, who is going to be my wingman now?"
I let out a loud laugh as I wrestled him off me and pinned him down ruffling his hair.
"You could have told me your mate was Jax. How lovely, what a beautiful Luna you will make." My dad said from the door was, chuckling to himself. From underneath me Jax pretended to flick his hair behind his ear.
"I know right." Was all he said, causing all three of us to burst out laughing.
