"We absolutely need to go; everyone goes to Jason's parties." Payton said matter of factly. This party was all anyone was talking about today, whispers in the hallway and even the Jason Reid waltzing down the hall with his football friends in toe, yelling that everyone better be there. His declaration was followed by various yells and whoops from everyone.
"Also, you know how I can get if I'm left unsupervised." Payton said, shoving another spoonful of whatever god-awful dish was being served in the cafeteria. Since we had sat down Payton had been going over a list of people who were acceptable to date and or fool around with.
"Speaking of someone who is acceptable to do absolutely anything with." She said with a flirty smile on her face.
A long leg stretched over the bench. Before his face came into view, I already knew who was about occupy the seat. His presence overwhelmed me. We were sitting so close that our thighs touched, and electricity spread throughout my body at the contact. Everything about him was intoxicating, as crazy as it sounds, I wanted to wrap my arms around him and never let go. It was scary but since I met him, I only ever wanted to spend every waking minute with him. As if sensing my stares he glanced over into my eyes and gave me a small smile before his gaze travelled down to where our legs touched and moved closer, pressing against me harder.
"I see you have met Bella."
"Yes Alph... Um Asher. We needed a new girly in the group, and she looked like just what we were looking for." Payton said with a bright smile on her face. I looked at Payton, shocked at her statement. The promise of friendship made my heart flutter.
"Hmm I'd have to agree, she is definitely everything I've been looking for." Asher said, looking directly into my eyes, his hand coming down the rest on my knee. For a brief second and a brief lack of judgement I leant into him, pushing against him, wanting to feel him closer. He looked good, almost too good in his nicely fitted jeans stretched over his muscular legs and a dark green t-shirt which was fitted around his arms and shoulders. His dark brown eyes bore into mine, analysing me. His stare was piercing, looking into my soul seeking everything that I was trying to hide from him. I knew that not only were my eyes close to betraying me but so was my whole body. I felt myself drifting closer to him like a gravitational pull, as if he was a planet and I was one of his moons. I felt like he was driving me crazy.
A cough pulled us out of whatever trance we were in and our gazes away from one another. I let out a small awkward laugh and looked down at my barely touched food. My cheeks starting to be incredibly red under the curtain of hair now hanging over my face. I looked over to where the noise had come from, Ari was looking between us with a small smile and Payton was waggling her eyebrows. I looked back at Asher who hadn't stopped looking at me, his stare more intense, as if it was even possible.
"Well, it's been fun." I stated awkwardly. Standing up quickly and grabbing my tray.
"I'll see you guys later." Was all I said, turning on my heels and emptying the tray into a nearby bin as the bell rung. Signalling the end of lunch and hopefully my interactions with Asher for the day. What a silly thought it was as a strong hand clasped around my arm as I got to the double doors of the cafeteria. I was pulled back, my back meeting a hard chest. I felt a hot breath on my neck as Asher leant forward, closing what little distance there was between us. He took a deep breath in and a small moan escaped his lips.
"Are you busy today? After school?"
I spun around, my face was centimetres from Asher's, I could feel the heat radiating off his body, our noses touched making me let out a small gasp.
"One-meter rule!"
"Get to class. Now!" a teacher shouted. I stepped back from Asher and turned, making my way to class without answering his question and without looking back at the man I was walking away from.

Gym, the one class where I was at the top. It was a breath of fresh air after having one of the most stressful days of my high school career, getting to do something physical to get out some pent-up frustration. I walked out of the locker room to see Bella already sitting cross legged in the middle of the Gymnasium floor. We had been so close today, I still felt her breath against my cheek and her scent was still burned into my brain, her proximity now only intensifying everything I was feeling. My wolf was screaming at me to kiss her, claim her and make her ours. Bella was playing hard to get, leaving my question from earlier still unanswered. More and people shuffled into the gym and took out their usual spots around the floor. I usually sat with Colby but today I walked past him earning a questioning stare as I took up the vacant spot next to Bella, my beautiful mate. Her gym clothes looked loose around her arms and legs. My eyes couldn't help but wonder up the expanse of her tanned leg, since first seeing her I couldn't help but wonder what she felt like, how it would feel to have those same legs wrapped around my waist or squeezing either side of my head.
"What are you thinking about?" Bella asked, waving her hand in front of my face. My eyes widened realizing that my thoughts had started to wonder to not so safe for work territory. I opened my mouth to give an answer just as our Gym teacher pushed open the doors and blew loudly into their whistle.
"Alright everybody, up! We are running laps." She yelled. I looked over to Bella who had paled. Bella obviously wasn't a fan of running laps.
