Jermaine's POV (one week later ...)
Today makes it two weeks and one day since my baby has been missing. I know in my heart that she's alive, so I will not think negative and worry. I believe and trust in God to bring Azure back home to us. For the past few days we've been passing out fliers, talking to people, knocking on doors, searching wooded areas, everything we could.
Today is the day of the press conference where all the news stations will be asking us questions and showing a live coverage. Hopefully if she's not here in the city, somebody, somewhere, wherever saw something or knows something. I just don't understand who would've possibly done this to her. Yes, she's a little rough around the edges but she'd help any and everybody who needed a helping hand. Hell the first day she met Bri she paid for her a room for a week at one of the best hotels in the city. When I was out of town, she didn't hesitate to keep Jermainey for me, I told her that she didn't have to, but she insisted so I let her. She tries to act like she's coldhearted and doesn't care, but in all actuality she does. She's one of the softest people I know. Just don't fuck with her son or family, then all hell will most definitely break lose. But then again, what woman isn't like that?
As we pulled up I saw all the reporters and the podium where we'd be talking, I took a deep breath and stepped out of the car.
As the lead detective, Davis, talked, I just stared at him, half listening, and half thinking of the right words to say, just being honest.
The reporters asked him a few questions, about her, my cooperation, family and friends cooperation, our son, phone records, any leads, just normal reporter questions. The detective basically told them small details and said other details couldn't be released because it was an open, on-going investigation and they couldn't leak out certain information. When it was announced that it was my turn to talk I got up and spoke, holding Amarion in my arms.
"My name is Jermaine, I am Azure's boyfriend. I remember when I first met her, she wanted nothing to do with me, I even bought her lunch" I said laughing, tears forming in my eyes. "She's the most sweetest person alive. She'd break her neck to help anybody that was in need. She is intelligent, a great girlfriend, dedicated mother, and an awesome friend, cousin, and niece. I know in my heart that my baby is okay. I am a strong believer in God. I have to put all of my trust into his hands that he'll keep her safe from harm and he'll shed some light as to who did this. If anybody has seen her, heard something, whatever, please call and let us know. There is a reward of $100,000 for the safe return of Azure, and information leading to the arrest. No matter how small you think the information might be, just please call, you never know, that could be the one thing that helps us find her. I miss her, we all do, we just want her back, please. And to whomever took her, if your watching this and you're listening, please, please, please return her, whatever you want, I can get it, just please return my girlfriend to us please. Azure if your watching and you can hear me, I - I love you." I said tears streaming down my face as Amarion whipped them away and hugged my neck. Damn it I love this little boy, but it hurts so bad, cause every time I look in his eyes, I see Azure.
"Please mommy come home. We love and miss you" he said crying hysterically.
