(Yin)
My nightmares had finally stopped, I could sleep peacefully once again. The whole phase really was starting to ruin my grades, so I need to catch up or else Yang or my parents will start to become suspicious of me. I need to get them up fast, because I have less than two weeks left to fix my grades before the semester ends.
About Yang, I've recently been worried about her. She'll stay up as late as midnight trying to get her work done. What work does she even have? I get most of my homework done before we leave school. Sometimes I might have a few math problems to do, but it's never to the point where I would delay sleep to get my work done.
A few nights ago, she slept until Tuskai attacked. She must've been up at five in the morning getting stuff done! Oh yeah, I also met Tuskai during our last fight. There was no possessed person, because he was the one doing it! Light explained to me that some other person was telling him to do it, and he's following it willingly!
Why is he following it without questioning it? Is this scary person just dumb? Is he forced to do this? Is he scared of his leader? No, if he sees himself like this, then he must be partnering with someone else.
Who is this someone, though? This leader? Should we know this person? Also, who's this person who gave us these gems? Who's the person who was transporting us to those dreams? Are they these powerful, power-bearing leaders? Do they know each other?
I hear my phone's alarm go off, and I pick up my phone to turn it off. I look to see if I have any special notifications, and I see a weather alert through all of my other Youtube notifications.
I take a closer look at it, and rub my eyes so I can see better. It's a blizzard alert issued for our county. It says that there are winds up to fifty miles an hour, and over a foot of snow is predicted.
Hmm... would we have school today? Our school is fairly strict about cancelling school. Some nearby schools sometimes close to bad weather while we don't. I shouldn't expect that school is closed and that I should stay in bed. Either of my dads will tell me if school is delayed or cancelled.
I get dressed, and go downstairs to go eat breakfast. I notice that Yang is not down here. David comes down the stairs, and sees me. "What are you doin' down here? It's a snow day!"
I was not surprised, but a bit startled. "Oh, ok. Are you still going to work?"
Well, of course. A little snow and wind wouldn't stop me. Garrett's classes might be closed, but I'm still not sure." He explains. "You need to know the weather without me in the future, so tap on the weather alert to see if school is closed."
"Okay." I reply. I eat some breakfast, and later I sit on my bed, waiting for Yang to get up. I watch some YouVid videos and look outside. It was really heavy snow, I wasn't able to see further than half a mile. The wind had really picked up, I could hear it across the walls. I'm surprised Yang hasn't woken up yet.
It was around an hour later, it was now daytime outside. David left so he could go to his classes. The wind continued to gain speed, and it was becoming more difficult to see outside. Snow was piling up onto the roads. I had gotten my slippers on because my feet were cold.
The vents stop, and I hear beeping coming from downstairs. My lamp flickers, then turns off. The power must have been knocked out. Surprising that a blizzard would've done that, it's usually rain that causes a blackout.
I have to call Garrett so he knows what's up. David usually takes care of us, while Garrett does the bills and other housework. He says that if it's still out in half an hour, then I'll have to call him again and he'll come home.
After I put down my phone, Yang wakes up. "When did you go to bed?" I ask.
She looks around, confused. I would be if I was her because it was bright out and it's silent as frick in here because the vents aren't on. "Uh.. I don't know. Midnight or something. What time is it?"
"It's around ten in the morning. We don't have school today because of the weather. I didn't want to wake you up because you need your beauty sleep."
"Oh. Why is it so quiet here? Is it quiet here?"
"Yeah, we are currently in a blackout because of the wind, have any more questions?"
"No." She says upset, and gets out of bed. I continue watching videos until I hear something. A creaking sound, then a bunch of screaming, loud screaming. I look out the window, but I'm not able to see anything. The city is due for another attack, so I should transform.
I ran to the bathroom, but it's closed. I knock on the door. "What?" Yang asks.
"I need to use the bathroom." I say as calmly as I could.
"I'm using the bathroom, you can use the one downstairs." She replies.
Yang is sometimes just so useless, I need to get out there! There aren't any other rooms that I could be confined in and have a window. I guess I'm just going out the front door.
"Dark, transform!" I say, and I open the door, or at least I try to. There's around a foot of snow blocking the door, and I have to use my strength to open it. Some snow gets inside, but I think it'll just melt.
I eventually get to the meeting area, and Light is already there. "Dark, you need to see this." She says.
I see one huge person, multiple buildings tall. It looks like a girl that I know. Yes, it's a bit of a bigger problem than usual, but it's not that big of a problem, we've defeated others.
"Okay, yeah?" I say, and shrug.
"There's t-two of them! C-can't you see that?"
"Why are you stuttering?" I ask.
"Did you just wake up or something? Are you b-blind? It's b-blizarding in negative d-degree weather!" She replies angrily.
"Sorry, jeesh!" I say, and out of nowhere, I see another one, just like her, come barreling towards the first one that I saw. I recognized them by their faces, it was Suena and Sedna.
"C'mon! Let's get moving before I freeze up!" She says, and starts flying away. She would know that moving her body would actually help her gain heat, and that she should have had a better design for her outfit.
"Look out!" Light says, and before I can react, I get hit with a huge hand, and get thrown into a wall of a skyscraper. I fell down, and I am barely able to catch myself after landing. People should go get possessed in more open areas so this doesn't happen.
I jump back up, ready to fight, and I start fighting with Light. "You okay?" She asks.
"I guess, but I'm kind of winded by your constant change in emotions." I reply, and I summon my weapon.
"Sorry. I've been dealing with... difficult stuff lately. We shouldn't be talking about this right now, we need to fight." She quickly apologizes.
She also summons her weapon, and starts to aim for one of the twins. Too bad that they are identical twins, I can barely tell them apart. She can't aim fast enough, though, and she is nearly crushed to the ground.
I see her healing herself, so I now that she's okay. I have a better weapon for this situation. I wait for one of the twins to notice me, but she just runs away from me. "Hey! Fight me!" I yell impatiently and hold up my sword.
Both of the twins are aiming at each other. They run towards each other and start trying to push the other away. "Sibling rivalry, amirite?" I say to Light.
"Yeah, I guess so. They look really similar. I guess that's how they both got possessed at the same time. Let's get them calmed down while they are distracted." She replies.
We both fly into the air, and we both aim for the one on the right. While she is blasted away by my sword, the other one comes after us, and we both get sent flying into the air halfway across the city.
Light was able to pick me up before we landed on the ground again. "These people are actually quite difficult to tackle." I reply, as she gently puts me to the ground.
"Yeah, as I said. It's probably because it's double the trouble." She says.
"Not very funny. Leave the jokes to me."
"Fine." She replies, and soars off into the sky, but before she does anything, she comes back to me. "I just got a vision, we can still defeat them. We just need to adjust our tactics, we can't fight the same person, we need to not fight together, and keep them apart. Try to talk to them about it."
She gets slapped again, and I go after the one that just hit her. I swing my sword at her, but I am not able to jump. I know this feeling, I have summoned my weapon for too long. I realize that I'm probably going to detransform automatically!
Where should I go? Where should I hide? I jumped down from the building, not very gracefully. Without absolute control in my power, I couldn't land very well, and landed on my arm weirdly, then transformed back. I'll have to heal myself before I get back onto the field. I fought to stay awake, and controlled my breathing. If anyone heard me in this alleyway, that would be bad.
The absolute worst thing was that I wasn't protected from the cold wind. I still had my light pajamas on, and was sitting in the snow. I was shaking violently. I was cold, tired, and in pain. I had to let no one help me. I had to lay there for around five minutes, staying awake.
After counting second-by-second, I knew that I was ready to transform. "D-d-dark-k... ac-ct-tivat-t-te." I slowly and softly said. I was transformed, and healed my arm and other pains. I waited another minute to get a few breathers, and I jumped back up, ready to fight.
I saw Light fight the one furthest from me, so I summoned my weapon and jumped up to fight, now being more attentive. I landed a few hits on her, then realized that I should actually try to calm her down. My last hit threw her away from her twin, and I had the chance to talk to her, since she was stuck.
"Calm down! What's wrong?" I ask.
"It was her fault! You should hurt her or something!" She blatantly replies.
"Tell me what's wrong, then I can decide who's the person to blame."
"Okay, fine. We have a PSBox, and we both had a friend at our house over. She wanted to play it with her friend while I wanted to play on it too, and we only have two controllers. It was my idea first to play it though, and she copied my idea. Then I accidentally bumped into my dad's vase while arguing, and then she blames me for it happening, and then-"
She's trying to hide her anger while talking, and I can see that she's only getting more mad. "Calm down. It was both of your faults, but now you both are causing more damage to things, you guys should make up and everything will be fixed." I reply.
"That's true, but she's the one continuing to attack people!" She says.
I look around, and I don't see the other sister Yang had probably gotten her to change back already. "Well, she's not here currently. You're the one still arguing about it, and saying that it's her own fault. At this point, it's your fault for continuing to blame her for this, and not partially blame yourself. Once you both collaborate, this can all end.
"...You're right." She says, with tears welling up in her eyes and she detransforms, returning to her original size. I jump down from the building, and help her up to her feet. "I am so, so sorry that I caused all of this damage, seriously." She apologizes.
"Hey, it's okay. Let's see how Light handled your... other sister."
"Twin."
"Right."
We both get to where the other twin landed, and we see that she's talking and crying with Light. The twins see each other, and are locked in position for a second. They smile, and run to each other, and hug.
"I'm so sorry!" The one I was taking care of said.
"It's all my fault!" The other one said, I really wish they had some sort of feature that stood out. I know it would be very confusing if me and Yang were identical twins, but I'm glad that we aren't.
"No, it's my fault, Sedna. I broke the vase and that's how everything got out of control." I'm glad that she mentioned a name, so I was dealing with Suena. I guess that she was more aggressive when they were both compared.
Suena chuckles, "No, you were the one who was playing the PSBox first, and I barged in. You shouldn't be sorry."
"No, it's my fault. I'm the one who should be sorry." Sedna says with gritted teeth.
"I'm the one who's sorry, you are perfectly fine." Suena replies, in an angry tone.
"Well, I think-" Sedna starts.
"Girls, please stop. It's both of your faults that this has happened. Just make up, and be done fighting."
"It's sibling rivalry, just let them cool off." I teasingly reply.
"Dark, not the time."
"Ok, high five?" I ask, before the conversation runs dry.
"High five." We do so, and everything returns back to normal. I'm personally very thankful that this happens, because I wouldn't want to clean up all this mess afterwards. Many buildings had collapsed, and most of the people had to move to the outskirts of the town or down to the subways so there was no risk of injury.
Me and Light did our routine talking after we answered many questions, talked with the parents, and helped the friends who had watched this all happen. We sped up the process because it was quite cold outside, and the lights were still out.
"So, you must have a sibling, right?"
"Yeah, a few actually." I lied.
"Hmm, must be exciting, I only have one."
"Oh. No wonder you're so... kind-hearted."
"Eh, it's probably not because of that." She dismisses, "Well, maybe we should meet your sibling then."
"No, no. That would probably reveal our identities." I said, I expected her to know this common sense stuff already."
"Yeah, right... Brrr.... It's still quite cold, but I think the snow is stopping. I better get back home." She says, and takes off into the sky.
I just sit there for a few more moments. I didn't really have anything to do. Usually the lights would be on if it was this dark during severe weather.
I then realized that I still needed to get home quickly. It's been far over half an hour, and I haven't called Garrett yet! I start running back home, and once I crawl through the window, detransform, and finally I start calling Garrett.
I see that I have had three missed calls and a few missed texts from Garrett. I'm probably going to get grounded for not calling him!
Suddenly, the lights start to flicker back on, and I hear the microwave from downstairs reset. I wonder where Yang is, she could have called him, but I never told her that.
I text Garrett saying that my phone died shortly after my last call, and there was no electricity to turn it back on for a while. The lights had come on around fifteen minutes ago, and I plugged my phone in, and it took a while to charge.
If he knew that he could track my phone only while it was online, I'd be dead. I would be lying to him, and he trusts me, a lot. He isn't very happy when I lie.
I try to find Yang, and I see her downstairs working on stuff, laying down on the couch. She sees me, but doesn't talk to me, since she's so busy. I go back up to my room, homeworkless, and look out the window.
The snow has stopped, but school will still probably be cancelled tomorrow, too. There was around a foot on the ground, surprisingly. The weather is usually off by a lot. It's also been getting warmer for the past few hours, but nowhere near close enough to make the snow melt.
Suena and Sedna have their differences, but they still love each other. They will fight each other over the simplest things, they get tired of each other often. On the other hand, they are worried about when one of them gets hurt. They will fight each other to put the blame on themselves. They both have sisterly love.
Where... is me and Yang's sisterly love? We barely talk to each other. We don't usually fight, or at least that often. We are separate, and we don't usually do anything together. Only when we are forced to.
Do normal families have more connection? I mean, we are sort of a normal family, but I mean not adopted children who were seven when found with no memory of what happened before that. We have no history. We have no explanation for why we both glow. We don't know that much about both of us, it's super strange.
I didn't know how to answer any of my questions. I wish I knew where I could look for answers, but it would be very difficult and very strange to ask someone or to search for it. Looking at the orphanage, the first place I went to for looking for an answer the last time I was dealing with this, there was nothing. I found pages of me and Yang's arrival, but most of the useful information was gone.
Maybe I should do something, and spark something else to happen. I go downstairs again, and I sit next to Yang on the couch. She looks up at me. "What do you need?" She asks impatiently.
"I just wanted to ask if you wanted any help with your homework. I don't have anything else to do, and it looks like you are struggling." I explained.
Her expression changed from annoyed to apologetic. "'Sorry that I got mad. If you want to help, you can. I do a few things differently from you, but I hope you can help me." I smiled, and she moved over so I had more room to sit, we started to explain how exponent rules work.-
How? I didn't expect this to happen. Why did this happen? How did Tuskai have the ability to do that? Yes, they are twins, and they were both angry at each other, but how? Just because all of those things were true, doesn't mean that having two people under control is possible.
If you didn't already know, Tuskai possessed, not one, but two people at once! They were Yang's friends, Suena and Sedna. They didn't listen to any commands and they fought each other the whole time, but it's impressive that this was able to happen!
I also found out that Tuskai fell back in love with Dark. I can't erase his mind every time he sees her, so I guess that I'll just add this to the weighing drama on all the superheroes.
Anyways, I needed to talk to him, I needed to know how this happened, and tell him to not do it again unless I tell him to. I start the program and wait until Lucas is transported to the dream.
Once he appears, I clear my throat and I start talking into my microphone. "You probably know what I am going to focus on tonight, correct?"
"Uh, probably something with two people being selected and possessed?" He says, and shrugs.
"Yes. I would like it if you explained how you were able to do it."
"Well, they are both twins. Their names are Sedna and Suena. They had a fight on who could use their console first. I selected Suena because she could be more aggressive sometimes, and it just so happened to, I don't know, it just happened. They were really close to each other and it must have hit both of them at the same time. It must be a twin thing, or that they were both angry, or-"
"Look, I don't care how it happened, but just don't do it again. You lost control of them and they didn't do anything to please us."
"Well, I thought that it was pretty cool that this happened. I would expect this as a bonus, so maybe I wouldn't have to do this in the next two weeks. Also, I didn't lose control over them, they just didn't listen to me, I thought you would know."
He doesn't have the right to boss me around. I amp up the bass and volume. "You think that you can boss me around? You know how this goes. I tell you what to do, and you do it. Your bonus is when you can finally find the identities of these stupid heroes and finally get their gems!"
He covers his ears, and the simulation shakes. "I know, I know. I'm very sorry, it won't happen again, sir."
I end the simulation, and I stop working for the night.
