Coral was swimming back up to the surface in search of the boy she encountered from earlier. It was key that she didn’t lose her chance before it was too late. She left her kingdom with determination in her eyes and her mindset on that boy. Her job was to help him on his road to becoming a mermaid. I must find him, she kept telling herself. Once she finally reached and broke the surface, she was met by a surprise. Josiah was already there. "YOU!", she shouted. She was so happy to have found him so quickly and with such ease.

Josiah was very shocked to see her again. “You?!”  Josiah exclaimed. He was very confused cause she did not look like she did the first time they met. He didn’t dare get closer for he knew not to mess with the unknown. He was actually kinda spooked at this point with all the questions that rushed to his head. Coral realized she was still in her mermaid form and not on land. She thought Oh no what now? And freaked out a bit. Then just got out of the water. She didn't have much of a choice. He needed her help and she knew that. So she sat on the beach with her tail fully exposed waiting for his reaction.

“Uuhhhhh….what are you?”, he said in curiosity and confusion. His mind was trying to comprehend what he was looking at. Then he started becoming annoyed and enraged with his thoughts. “And what happened when we first met?! I feel so weird and uncomfortable! Explain yourself!”Josiah said with passion for he did not like being left in the dark due to lack of information.

Coral responds "I am a mermaid. The real deal.” Josiah was in complete shock and didn’t know if he should have ran at that moment or not. But he felt compelled to stay anyways. He had even more questions now and didn’t even know what to do at that point. But all he really wanted to know was what was going on. He asks, “What is happening right now? I feel so weird ever since I met you and I don’t know what to do.” Coral being intrigued now asked him, “Do you see that?” She points to the sea. He replied, “Yeah, what about it?” She asked him what he felt when he saw it and he replied, “I feel this strange tug. Like it’s calling me to something more.” Coral felt slightly better because now she didn’t need any confirmation anymore about whether he was affected or not. She knew. There was no denying it at this point.

She looked at him and sighed, “What happened to you yesterday was the mermaid's kiss. I gave you the kiss by accident when we bumped into each other. You are inevitably going to become a mermaid. And I am going to be your guide to help you!" She tried to stay positive but she knew he was going to be angry.

“WHAT?! ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?!” Josiah was furious with this. He had no intention of having his whole life being completely transformed. He didn’t have time for this nonsense. His life was perfect as it was. He wanted to hit her but couldn’t.

Coral tried to calm him down. She reacted quickly and said, "Sir, I am extremely sorry! I came up here to do something important and then this incident happened! I really did not want to do this! I am in your debt because of what I did to you!" She bowed her head in shame and regret. Ugh, what am I gonna do now? I need her at this point. Josiah thought. He had no other choice.

Coral's fins turned to legs and she walked out of the water. She walked up to Josiah and they were face to face. She looked him dead in the eyes and said "You need my help whenever you want it or not."
