A Mermaid's Kiss

Girls Day Out Part 1

The morning started out beautifully. Birds were chirping, the sun was rising, and the slight breeze in the air made it seem like the perfect dawn to wake up to. Desire started to wake to the rising sun that had shone in her eyes. What a beautiful morning. This reminds me of a time when I was younger...She started to rummage through her memories from when she was younger. But...it wasn’t what she thought it to be. She thought it was going to be a boy version of everything, but it wasn’t. It was a younger version of herself in her girl body and her room was all pink. What?! Has it already changed?! Desire tried to scurrage around her other memories and past thoughts only to be disappointed again and again. Ugghhhhh…..Now it all has changed. Desire was annoyed and saddened by this. She groaned in her bed really loudly and stuffed herself in her covers. “Uggghhhhh…” Coral woke up because of Desire's groaning. She looked at her in concern and said, "Is everything ok Desire?" Desire groaned again, “Ughhh, noooo...all my memories are changed…” Coral responded, "Oh. So you are sad?" Desire said in an aggravated tone, “Of course I’m sad! I just wanna lay in bed today. Wake me up when it's tomorrow…” Coral realised her friend was going through a hard time and she knew she had to fix it. Coral said, "Come on." She started to pull Desire out of bed. “Whyyyy….” Desire didn’t want to get out of bed. She wanted to wallow in her grief.  Coral responded "I'm going to help you. Get out of bed and stop whining." Desire sighed and said, “Fine, I’ll get up.” Desire sat up and sat on the side of her bed taking a deep breath. 

She then got up to get dressed and put on some of her newer clothes that seemed to fit her perfectly now. Wow, my body got remodeled to look perfect with these clothes on. I just wonder how Jacob will react to my newer look, if I ever see him. She got herself ready and put on less makeup than before because her face didn’t need to look better than it already did. Coral also got dressed and waited for Desire to finish. Once Desire finished, she went downstairs for some breakfast and Coral followed. She saw her mom already down there making her some breakfast. Desire’s voice was parched from all the groaning though and she asked her mom for a cup of water. July obliged cause she was in a happy mood. She filled up a cup of water and started to walk towards Desire. Desire reached out to grab it until her mom lost her footing and stumbled causing half of the water to drench Desire. Coral said "Oh crap." Desire slipped and fell.

She looked at where her feet used to be only to see a scaly tail having taken its place. Desire was in slight shock, “WHAT THE?! Why do I have a tail now?!” Coral responded, "It's because you got wet." Coral then used her magic and dried off Desire. Coral finished up and said, "There." Desire got her legs back and her outfit was dry. Woah, that was weird. It looked cool though! Desire giggled and then got back up. Her mom on the other hand was in complete awe, “Your tail looked beautiful, honey! I loved it! And your whole body just looks perfect today!” July started to notice Desire’s perfect body. “Ok! Ok mom! We get it, you like my perfect looks!” Desire laughed with a sense of pride in it. Despite Desire sounding proud Coral knew she was still sad. Coral said "All right! Since Desire is a full girl now and now a part of the mythical realm I have decided me and her are going to have a girls day out!" July smiled, “Ok then! Have fun you two!” She waved goodbye to them as they departed from the house.

Desire was feeling much happier than when she woke up today. I can’t wait to have fun today! Desire walked down the sidewalk with Coral while her hips swayed side to side. Coral saw her doing that and laughed a bit under her breath. Desire had not noticed anything yet and kept walking and then said, “So where are we off to?” Coral responded in a happy tone "We are going to a coffee shop and then shopping!" Desire felt her heart leap a little and got really excited. “Yay! I can’t wait!” Desire exclaimed. Maybe we will run into Jacob, I hope we run into him so I can see his cute little face….wait. Desire started to notice her hips sway side to side. Her thoughts didn’t seem right. She shook her head, Agh! Stop doing that Desire! Jacob is just a close friend! Nothing about him is cute! Desire blushed and bit her lip to punish herself for such vile thoughts. Coral said "Well you are walking like a girl now too. That's interesting." Coral gestures towards Desire's swaying hips. Desire tried to stop herself from swaying and tried to walk like she did before but it felt really awkward to her. Desire was getting annoyed and yelled, “Ugh! Why is this so hard?!” Coral responded "Wow. You are not accepting this easily. You're a full girl mentally now. Things like this are involuntary to you now." Desire still slightly annoyed, looked at her and said, “You’re paying for that coffee then.” Coral responded "Fair enough. But you have to stop fighting this." Desire grumbled and said, “Fine, lets go.”
