Longing Leaves of Autumn
By Jacqueline Wright

I look outside my window and see the leaves,
Changing color, one by one trickling to the ground.
Years have passed, yet you're still not here.
Fall. It's in my grasp. My favorite season,
The second I long for because you're my first.

I take a deep breath. The crisp, cool, clean air
Tickles my nose.
Wishing that you’re here by my side
While watching the leaves slowly falling.

Hearts Defiance Breaks the Rules
by unknown

The first rule I dared to break,
Loving a wild boy, my heart at stake.
A rebellious smile, a secret keen,
I broke the rules for what had been.

The second rule that cracked my core,
Was my own heart, yearning for more.
A savage plea, a death in strife,
I broke the rules, held onto life.

The third rule shattered the silent night,
A fierce boy's smile, love's new light.
No longer secret, bold and free,
I broke the rules for him and me.
