He groaned with his face in my hair, sending vibrations to my neck. "Good morning" I'd heard his {i just woke up} voice a million times before, but I'd never noticed how good it sounded. He pulled me by the waist and turned me around.
"Good morning" I told him. He stared at me for a while, his hand resting on my hip.
"Did you sleep well?"
I was about to answer but got interrupted.
"Luke, are you dressed? I'm coming in" That was Calum's voice. Panicked expressions in our faces, but we were quick to react. He helped me to throw the big covers on me and put a couple pillows around me to hide the shape of my body sticking out of the bed.
"What Calum?" He was already in the room.
"Where's B?" Silence. "She's not in her room, I knocked a couple times and nothing, so I went in and she's not there"
I knew Luke was too sleepy to come up with a good lie so I went for it.
"I'm here" I said under the covers. "Can you just shut up? I'm hungover" I was trying to make it look like any other time I'd slept in the same bed with any of them. But the thing is: since Luke moved to this house, I'd been staying in a spare room that he now had, so why would we be sharing the bed now?
"I had to carry her into the house cause she was refusing to walk, you know how she gets when she's drunk" Luke told Calum. "And since she's not light, and my room was the closest to the front door, I just brought her here" That actually sounded like something Calum would buy, it could've actually happened. The danger was that we all knew each other too well, and maybe he would know that Luke was lying, even if it was a good lie.
"Hu, sure. She does get very annoying when she's drunk" Calum teased.
"Can you please just leave? I'm dying" I said dramatically. "And I wanna die in peace" Calum laughed and went back to the living room.
"I have to change the keys, they can't just come and go as if it was their house." I chuckled under the covers.
"Maybe instead of changing the keys you should just tell them that"
"Maybe. Are you really hungover?"
"Nop, we didn't get drunk last night, Lu"
"Just checking... Maybe you were and I.. I didn't notice?" He said it but it sounded like a question. I sensed in his tone that he was worried that maybe it all just happened cause I was drunk, and even more worried that he could've not notice.
"No, I wasn't drunk, I was very much conscious" He smiled.
"Good" He was gonna keep talking but I interrupted him.
"It was awesome, Lu, but we shouldn't do this again" He sighed.
"I thought you'd say that"
"You don't agree with me?" I was so afraid that maybe we had ruined our relationship, I loved him so much. Him, and the boys, they were family for me. I hated the feeling this whole thing was giving me.
"I guess I do. I mean, it felt good, it felt... uh, right?" He sighed again. "What I mean is, maybe, if it wasn't you, I would really love it if we could just see what happens.. but I get why we shouldn't. So overall, yes, I agree. Wow that was not a clear sentence"
"I got it" I'd never heard him talking like that, so doubtful and uncertain, he sounded like, I don't know, nervous maybe? At least we were in the same page. "It did feel good, and I'm glad we agree. So.. we shouldn't say anything, right?"
"No, of course not, no one, not the guys nor anyone else."
So we decided to do as if nothing had happened. We got dressed and went to the living where we found Cal and Ash playing video games. Luke was right, it was a little bit too much that they would just get in and play video games in his living room without even telling Luke that they were there. I guess they were just too used to living together and it was hard to get used to being away from each other (when I say away I mean like 10 minutes by car).
I stayed in L.A for another week and then went back home. Everything really seemed to be normal between us. Maybe there was a weird vibe once in a while, but that was it.
