Jackson's POV

"Yo dude shows that girl over their" Mickey asked me. He's never really around nowadays since he just went to University, but when he's in town he's literally the life of the party plus my long lasting best friend.

Many guys out their are weirded out by calling another guy best friend but it doesn't bother me or him, honestly we are used to it.

"Who" I said searching around the bar

"Her" he pointed towards Apollo, she was wiping down the countertop, some asshole had spilled his beer all over it " man she is so fine, her skin, her lips, her smile, everything"

I was kinda surprised by his infatuation with Apollo cause as long as I've known Mickey his never had any Interest with girls that aren't white.

"Oh for real I never knew you liked black women"

"Been. I just never meet one that had any interest in me"

"Ok then go talk to her" I encouraged glancing from him back to Apollo

"You got to introduce us, ion want to seem to desperate you know" He said pleading with his eyes

"Alright fine, let's go!" Me and Mickey walked towards the bar, him quite speedily, it was like something was drawing him towards her, an I couldn't understand.

When we arrived in front of Apollo, she looked up from the bar resting her eyes on Mickey and me. Her arms dropped behind her back, she bit her bottom lip out of nervousness, and crossed her legs.

"Hey Apollo" I said waving to be polite

"Hey Jackson" she spoke softly

"This is my friend Mickey, he wanted to meet you he thought you were beautiful" I said pointing towards Mickey, and when my eyes looked over at he his was giving me a death stare saying "you ass" with his eyes

"Oh does he really" she stated becoming more comfortable.

She dropped her posture and leaned up against the bar letting her head rest on her right hand

" yeah I do" Mickey said itching closer to her

" then how come you let Jackson tell me, I like a boy whose confident in himself" she spoke flirtatiously

"I taking into notice next time we meet" he smirked

" oh there's going to be a next time" she smiled widely

"Most definitely" He replied

" y'all, I'll be right back, so y'all can talk" I walked away feeling uneasy.

Their was something about Apollo showing someone else attention, that got under my skin.

We don't have anything physical going on, plus we've never really talked besides twice so for me to become woozy over a girl that's not Marcy was surprising to me.

When I stepped back into my office, I closed the door behind me, and watched through the window Mickey flirting with Apollo.

It seemed like she was interested in him by the way she laughed and giggled that the cornet shit he let come out his mouth. Yet it wasn't surprising, Mickey always had a way with his words, and girls always seem to fall it.

But, Apollo was different those girls she actually had a back-bone while all the other flung to every thing he said.

When they seemed about finished with their conversation, I walked my office, and approached the bar once more.

"You guys had fun"(had fun what is that Jackson so subtle)

"Yah, she mad cool, I'm starting to like" he said starting in her eyes

"Yah same. But you were about to ask me something though Mickey? Right?" She spoke

"Oh yeah, I was wondering since I'm in town for a couple more days, would you like to have lunch or dinner sometime?"

"Well, with my long hours here dinner probably would work, so lunch definitely" she smiled all cheesy

" unless Jackson here would give you a day off, and we could do both maybe I'd really like to get to know you more" Mickey said glancing between Apollo and me

"Yah sure, what do you say Jackson" I couldn't take my eyes off her I was stuck, frozen, but why tho.

"Jackson?" She said again wave her hand in front of my face

"Oh.....uh...um...yah sure" I said regaining focus

"Great" Mickey said "I'll get your number and I'll text when and where"

" most definitely" she smirk "nice meeting you Mickey"

" you to Apollo" that was the last thing Mickey spoke before head towards the front door and exiting. He ain't he say goodbye to me, yet I was still staring at Apollo in this moment

She glanced up at me, biting her lip once again, eyes droopy for the first time today, and her posture seemed shy this time.

We didn't break eye contact, and she was surprised when I spoke first, cause she looked like I interrupted her

" I hope you have fun "( wow did I really just say that? Yah I did, but do I really mean it?)

"Thank you, he seems really nice"

"He's the best, we've been friends for a long time"

" that remind me, of me and Ruri. We've been friends since elementary"

"Same. Well diaper days" I said making her smile a little. After it grew silent until two stranger came through the door saying "Apollo were here!"

She instantly broke eyes contact staying at the familiar strangers, while a tears fell from her eyes.

I was confused for a second until the older guys ran up to Apollo stating "sis what's wrong"

Then I finally understood, they must of been her older siblings.
