...

"I came to this planet millions of years ago, I crash landed, and I began to eat." the creature's eyes flashed at the girl.

"Eat what?" she asks, curiosity taking over, her face turns from anger to something more innocent.

"Fear." it comes closer, its dumb smile on its face again.

"How do you feed on fear? That doesn't make sense." she asks a question, without having the slightest sense of an answer that might not please her at all.

"Children." it says just that, its smile grows and its teeth are shown slowly.

"What?" she thinks she didn't understand, but her brain understood too quickly, causing her to start shaking and her mind to fit some pieces together.

"I eat children. I mean they taste a lot better when I scare them a little" it continues, building up the courage to get closer to the girl, who earlier seemed very nerve-wracking to him.

"So all the kids who were missing you-"

"I ate them all." it interrupts, its face is now inches away from the girl's. "Does that scare you? That I eat helpless little children?" It chuckled, smiling evilly.

Y/N's eyes were opened wide, the truth now right in front of her face. She only managed to breathe a few times before a sense of panic and disgust took over her being. She moved away, still sitting on one of the crater's spikes, but almost entering the center, trying more and more to stay away from the clown. Realizing that was the reason why he was scaring-- well trying to scare her, was to eat her.

The thing was getting closer and closer to her body, looking much bigger than it was before, when it was shy in the corner of the cave.

Y/N kept thinking about how it hadn't been discovered by police yet, how did tons of children go missing, with no leads? The distaste melted from the girl's face and she returned with an expression of anger and fire in her veins. The clown didn't expect it, its smile is gone once again and a frightened face takes over. It got up in the last attempt to look scary, but it wasn't enough, because Y/N was royally pissed.

"You eat children?! What about all of their parents? Does that just not matter?" She yelled as Pennywise crawled along the floor.

"What if you were taken from your parents and eaten by some psychotic clown?" she continues, walking forward, making the thing drag himself back and lean his back against one of the spikes. He seemed taken aback by her insult, like it had hurt him.

"I do not have pear-rents." He finally said, spitting out the words. The clown lets out a frightened and weak moan, but audible enough for the girl to hear and almost feel sorry for it. However, there was no pity for someone who ate children. Still, her mind cried out to calm it down, to comfort it.

"I can tell. What you do is really fucked up and really awful." She then bent over, one knee on the floor, one hand slowly being extended to it. It looks at her strangely, but accepts the hand anyway. She lets out a breath and kneels completely, getting very close to the creature. She intertwines her fingers with the creature's, feeling the softness of its glove.

"Do you know what my parents would do to me if I started eating children? Especially, since they're black and since we have food at home." Y/N joked, only the clown did not get it. Just looking at her with the same expression.

"What are pear-ants?" The clown asked.

"Parents are people who take care of other people, make sure they are happy and healthy and well-fed. Parents are caregivers." She said, suddenly getting serious.

"Look, I know you are some mythical space demon, and I'm just a black girl with no emotions and a pitbull. You did something really weird to me and terrorized me since I moved in.  Only for some reason, I feel some strange need to help you. To teach you to be good, maybe not eat children." she says, giving a weak smile.

"Well, you are living in my place of residence. Maybe we can come to some agreement."

"Agreement?" She asked, both intrigued and peturbed. "Do not for a second think that you  scare me or think you will have me bring children to you." She firmly stated.

"You are going to be my pear-rant." it finally says, getting closer to her, taking her hands out of his own and resting her hands, palms down, on the floor.

"I can't be your parent Pennywise. I have a job and responsibilities. I can't take care of a space demon!" She screamed, snatching her hands away. The clown cocked his head at the girl, his eyes turning from blue to gold. He dropped his head and smiled at her, his apple cheeks being much more sinister. He opened his mouth, showing her rows of sharp teeth. The girl leaned back a bit, staring at him in disbelief, was he really about to eat her because he could not get his way?

Without thinking about the after effects, she held her hand out and popped him right on the top of his red nose. Like how her mother would have popped her.

"No! We are not starting that temper tantrum bull!" She scolded him, sounding more like her mother than she ever did. The clown quickly closed his mouth, shaking his head a few times, him not being used to that. His eyes changed back blue slowly, him giving up control to the fearless girl.

"Everything in my African-American spirit is telling me to run, because you could eat me in my sleep one day. Everything is telling me to get up out of here and move back to Brooklyn before a demon clown kills me, but now I feel like I have to help you." She said, her being the most genuine as she possibly could.

"Imagine me going back home to tell my friends this," She said, facepalming herself. "Hey guys, I know I have not seen you all in a while, but I adopted a child eating clown." Y/N giggled to herself.

It continued to stare at her, with a look as lost as before. One of its eyes looked slowly to the side, something that Y/N hadn't seen yet. It looked like he was thinking about what to say or do at that moment. Its mouth opened slowly, crooked, pointed teeth gleaming in the dim light of the place.

"Well, okay." She said shrugging her shoulders, coming to terms with their agreement.

Pennywise blankly stared at her. 'Okay'? That's all she had to say? 'Okay'? His own suspicions blossomed. Why was she so open to it? What sort of mental trickery was this? Yet, as It observed her, searched for her deceit, It found it couldn't find any. She seemed, sounded, genuine.

"Look," she began, "I may not know why you're here and I'll keep my nose clean, and out your business, but...in exchange, I need you to behave yourself. Could you do that for me? Not cause waves?"

Behave. What did she imply? That she wanted for It not to do as it had done for years? Since long before her own birth? Children made for exceptional prey. One couldn't ask a lion not to eat the grazing zebra, a pack of wolves not to eat the unwary doe and her fawn. Not without a substitute, of course. Y/N had none to offer. But in her presence, perhaps It would control itself long enough to keep her out of consequences' path. Not that It should care for a meager human, but neither would It get to unravel her own mystery, if she were gone.

"No promises," Pennywise finally told her.

That would do.

"Thank you," she muttered, either way. She then finally maneuvered herself to stand.

She was going to have to teach a monster clown, to behave and live correctly. This was going to be her new normal, now! What in the world?! She heard the telltale giggle of Pennywise, praying that he would hold up his end of the deal and not bring home any kids to eat. By the time she'd made her way back up the rope, she had a headache.

This was going to be hard.
