Kyra woke up, breathing heavily, feeling around for a wound... only to find nothing; with a sigh she began looking around, she was in a dungeon-like tomb; the area looked almost demolished, bones scattered all over the floor;
"What is this place", Kyra thought to herself as she got up and began walking forward, the encounter of what happened earlier fresh in her memory, "now I know how Ashley felt back then... I gotta find Leon",
Entering a hallway, she took a few steps forward until pain entered her head... a voice ringing out...
"Welcome seeker, you have come for answers, I am here to help you...",
"Who... was that", Kyra thought to herself as the pain subsided; making her way forward once again and walking down some stairs, she came across what appeared to be a medieval torture chamber, the bodies within the devices were burned alive; taking a few deep breaths, she pushed on, fast walking out of the area before the PTSD kicked in, another pain shot through her head once again and the voice rang out...
"You lost everything, but I want to help you regain what you have lost; let you forget what you want forgotten... let you regain what you had lost..."
The pain in Kyra's head subsided once again as a man appeared at the end of the hallway; raising her gun, she began walking forward, keeping her gun aimed at him until he disappeared, creatures of fire appearing around the room; they roared at her as they began charging forward, igniting their bodies, she began backing away, her mind against her, her fingers unable to pull the trigger until they were close enough... once all were gone, she stayed standing, unable to process what happened.
"Stefano defied me, became a thorn in my side, a thorn which you removed; for that, you will be rewarded".
"Wait... is this the guy who he was working for", Kyra thought, regaining control over her thoughts as she made her way through the end of the crypt and into a sewer; coming out from a tunnel, a man stood above the sewer pit.
"Kyra Castellanos, you've finally come", the man said, "I've been waiting for you",
"Who the hell are you", Kyra asked, pointing her gun at him.
"my followers call me Father Theodore...", Theodore stated, "I hope that you will call me that, too... friend",
"Lunatics with god complexes... another day in the office", Kyra muttered.
"We have the same goal, Kyra, we can help each other", Theodore explained, "join me... you will be reunited with your sister... your missing piece restored... and I will have the powers of the Cores",
"I already know who has Lily, and what's the deal about me being a core", Kyra asked, anger in her tone.
"Myra won't give her up so easily", Theodore stated, "as for your other question, you possess the same power as Lily, stronger even... without your other half, they're dormant... but using them here will affect her... with me, I can keep her safe, and have the Cores powers.
"Not happening, where are they", Kyra asked, anger still present.
"I wish that I could tell you, but you are not ready", Theodore said, "you must be folded into my flock before I can share that knowledge...",
"WHERE IS SHE", Kyra shouted.
"Accept my invitation", Theodore said, his voice staying calm, "I can lead you away from your own darkness, I can seize your other half... I will lead you to Lily",
"Go to hell", Kyra stated.
"So be it", Theodore said, hitting the end of his cane on the concrete, fire surrounding her and growing closer, panic setting into her mind, "you have so much pain, the events of the past haunt your every moment", barbed wire soon appeared around, keeping her trapped within as voices entered her head, "I showed you the path here, you must learn that I am here to help; return to me willingly, then we can assume our natural roles, not as adversaries, but as allies... farewell for now, Kyra",
