Jon Snow - 290 AC

"You" Lord Reed answered with sadness in his eyes.

Jon raised an eyebrow in confusion,"Why me?... My lord" Jon asked afraid that he had done something wrong. He took a small step back from the unknown lord. The lord seemed to have noticed his uneasy feelings,"Don't worry you have nothing to worry about, I just want to talk with you Jon . . . in private" Lord said with a kind tone.

Jon smiled, he was happy that the lord was calling him 'Jon' so many people in Winterfell were calling him Bastard or Snow, even Robb had started calling him that, and sometimes he forgot that his name was 'Jon'.

"Of course my lord, we can talk in God's Wood" Jon replied with a smile and Howland smiled back.

They made their way to God's Wood without talking much, Lord Reed asked Jon how he spends his days here. What he does and if anyone treats him unfairly.

To say that Jon was surprised by his questions was an understatement, Jon couldn't understand why a lord except his father would cared to talk to a bastard and care if he was happy or not. Jon found it strange but decided to answer, is not like I have any other choice, Jon thought.

Jon and Lord Reed reached the God's Wood, Jon liked this place, it was a place he could stay and be away from the cold glares of almost everyone in Winterfell, here Jon could daydream like he was a warrior like Aemon The Dragonknight. A knight ready to fight bad people, not being seen down by the others, his family smiling at him.

He sometimes dreamed of just being 'Robb', having a mother and a father that loves you, being a lord but he would quickly shake these thoughts away from his head. Robb was his brother and he wouldn't want to take what belonged to him, 'I'm lucky enough to even be raised among them' Jon thought with a sad smile on his face. Lady Stark always told him that, 'Bastard don't even deserve to be raised in a castle' she had told him many times.

Jon turned to Lord Reed who was looking at him like analyzing his face, he felt his eyes and was feeling slightly scared. Jon couldn't understand why he was looking at him that way.

The lord seemed to have understood it, I'm sorry Jon, you just remind me of someone" he quickly said with a sad tone and for a moment Jon thought the lord would cry.

"What is that you wanted to talk about?" Jon asked breaking the silence between them.
The lord sighed heavily and put a hand on Jon's shoulder, "Are you happy Jon?" He asked quietly.

Jon was surprised by his question, from all the questions he didn't expect this one. He wasn't sure himself if he was happy, 'Am I Happy?' He asked himself and wasn't sure of the answer.
"I...I...I..." Jon struggled to answer, he wasn't sure of the answer, 'he was a bastard, he should not complain'.

"My lord I don't understand" Jon instead answered.

The lord looked at him even more sadly than before and takes a step forward and sits on the ground covered with snow, he reaches out his hand and touched his clothes around his left arm, touching around the cut parts. His chest that was wide open.

Jon didn't know what to make of this, he looked as the Lord looks at him straight in the eye, Jon could swear the lord had tears in his eyes but was trying to hold them back.

The lord murmured something under his breath but Jon didn't hear him.

"Jon, would you wanted to leave?" He asked with a low tone looking at him. Jon quickly took a step back from him. He looked downwards and thought about it.
