I shake my head "Can someone please just explain what's going on!" I say looking at all of us. They all stay silent and look at each other. I sigh in defeat "You know what?" I say, "Let's just drop it."

"Yeah," Mandy says, "Let's do that."

"But-" Minka stars.

"Minka," Mandy interrupts, "drop it."

"I still find it ridiculous we even have that rule." Tay says from her front lawn where she decided to flop down in shame.

"I find it ridiculous you have any rules." Jay says

"I don't think anyone follows them" Mandy says, "They're just there."

"Oh wow." I say. I look back at Tay then back to the others, "what's wrong with her?" I ask.

"Many things." Mandy says.

"She's just jealous 'cause I'm better at keeping a secret than her." Minka says.

"I have a condition!" Tay yells.

"Well get over it!" Mandy yells back to her.

"Don't be mean!" Tay complains.

"Whatever," Mandy says, "Anyway." She pauses, "how 'bout that weather."

"No but seriously what's the secret?" I ask.

"No, you're the one that said to drop it." Mandy argues.

"Well I'm curious." I say.

"Curiosity killed the cat" Minka says.

"But satisfaction brought it back!" Tay calls from her yard.

"Mmhmm." I cross my arms. Minka grunts and sticks her tongue out at me. I stick my tongue out at her then look at Jay. "You've been really quiet." I say, "Do you know something about this secret everyone but me knows about?"

"I-" Jay starts. He sighs, "Could you please stop trying to get into people's personal business?"

"I-" I stand there dumbfounded, "Sorry," I say, "I just feel like I'm being left out."

"Trust me that's a good thing." Jay says, "It's bad enough that these guys know.

I stay silent for a moment. "Okay."

Everyone is silent.

"Awkward..." Tay says.

"Oh! Let's go see Sandra!" Mandy chimes.

"Sandy!" Tay screams as she runs past u and down the street.

"No, no more people!" Jay complains.

"Come on." Mandy says before turning and following Tay. Minka turns and skips after her.

"Maison," Jay says, "Why did I think it was a good idea to go through Mandy's window?"

"What?" I say surprised. He ignores me and follows the girls. "Wait you mean to her room?" I ask. "It's on the second floor!"

"You coming or not?" Jay calls back to me.

"Hrng. Wait up!" I run after him and eventually we catch up to the others. We get to Sandra's house. Jay just stares up at it with surprise. "You look like you've never seen a mansion before." I say with a smirk.

"Wait, she actually lives here?" Jay asks.

"Yup!" Tay says as she goes over and rings the doorbell. "Hey, Sandy! Come outside!'

"Wow!" Jay says looking back up at the mansion

"She's not answering" Tay says.

"Plan B?" Mandy suggests.

"Plan B." I agree

"Wait what's Plan B?" Jay asks. No one answers. Instead we all just look at each other and start counting down.

"Five"

"Guys?"

"Four"

"What's Plan B?"

"Three"

"Hold up!"

"Two"

"Guys!"

"One!"

Jay steps back as the rest of us simultaneously yell: "Hey Sandra come outside!"

"Yeah, I can't hear anything anymore" Jay mutters, putting a finger in his ear.

We watch Sandra's house and wait for her to come out. We notice one of the upper story windows open and Sandra sticks her head out.

"What the heck do you freaks want?" she calls down to us.

"Come out!" I call back, "we have a new friend!"

"Friendship!" Tay yells.

"Oh no.' Jay says.

Sandra rolls her eyes and closes the window. Moments later she's at the front door.

Sandra is what you would call a "spoiled rich girl" (she'd probably beat you up if you called her that though) her hair is long and curly; it's jet-black like Tay's hair. She usually wore fancy clothing and accessories.

She has on a light, loose-fitting, blueish-purple, long sleeved knitted shirt and a white tank top. Her shorts are pink and had little gold studs lining the pockets, with a matching belt. She has blue ankle Converse and silver and blue hoop bracelets and a silver necklace with a dark blue gem that matches her eyes.

"So who's this new friend everyone's freaking out about?" Sandra asks as she walks over to us.

'That would be me." Jay says, giving her an awkward smile and wave.

"That's Jay." Tay says, "He moved here last week."

"Oh really?" Sandra says looking at Jay, "Why didn't you say hi before?"

Jay shrugs. "Still getting used to everything I guess."

"Okay, fair enough," Sandra says, "well I'm Sandra, if you couldn't figure that out from these things; they didn't cause you any trouble did they?"

"It was more of a mutual trouble." Tay says.

"Of course" Sandra says.

"Getting off topic now." Tay says, "When's your party?"

"What?" Sandra turns to face her.

"Mandy said you were throwing me a party." Tay says.

"Yeah," Sandra look at Mandy, "a surprise party!"

"I'm a horrible person." Mandy says.

"Well I was cleaning up for the party," Sandra says, "Until I got interrupted by a pack of wild weirdoes."

"You're their leader you know." I say.

"I know," Sandra looks back at Jay, "You'll come too right?"

Jay hesitates. "Uh, Sure." he smiles at her

"Awesome!" Sandra cheers, "Well I have to go finish cleaning. I was nice to meet you Jay. See ya later!" She then turns and runs into her house
