Haerin woke up to Mark's alarm clock going off and quickly turned it off before shoving her head back into his pillow, letting out a loud groan.
Another day of training.
"What's wrong?" Mark asked, rolling over to his side to stare at his girlfriend. Haerin rolled her eyes before rolling out of bed.
"I'm teaching today." Haerin said as she quickly got ready for the day, while Mark observed from her bed.
"What's wrong with that?" Mark asked her, earning a look.
"You know how I feel about that." Haerin said as a wide grin spread across Mark's face. "Now get up before I push you off."
...
Haerin was soon outside her cabin, running laps, picking up a bead from the nymph handing them out as the campers ran by.
Once she had five, she went over to the dinning pavilion, exchanging them for her breakfast. She grabbed her food and took her seat with the other head counsellors.
Dasom and Jeno were chatting over some new fighting technique while Renjun and Haechan were bickering about who's table filled first. Chenle was listening to whatever Jisung was blabbering about, while Jaemin slowly made his way to the table, one of the last campers to finish like usual.
Jaemin gave her a smile as he placed his tray down before taking a sip of his coffee.
"Lovely morning, isn't it?" Jaemin said to her.
Haerin shrugged. "I have to teach today."
"Terrible morning it is." Jaemin mumbled as he turned his attention to his food.
"Well its not too terrible." The head counsellors turned to see the camp director, Taeyong, standing there. The head counsellors all immediately stood and gave him a bow.
"Please sit and continue eating. I just wanted to call a meeting for all head counsellors after the first period of training." Taeyong told them. They all nodded their heads.
"See you then." Taeyong said with a wink before walking away.
...
"And that is how you do it." Haerin said, dusting her hands off.
The young demigods stared at her like she was a zoo animal, wondering how she had thrown all her knives to land perfectly in the centre of the target.
Haerin tried not to smile as she called each of them up individually, the nymphs already replacing her target with a wooden board. Haerin was careful as well, making sure to dodge any of the knives that the young demigods had released much too early, sending the weapon in the opposite direction.
Haerin let out a sigh of relief once her lesson ended, the task draining the energy out of her. Unfortunately though, she had to make her way to the meeting Taeyong wanted.
The head counsellors were soon gathered inside the trainers' lodge, sitting around a table. Taeyong came out, holding a scroll in his hand.
Not a scroll, a map.
"The map has sensed another demigod. It's time to retrieve whoever it is and bring them back." Taeyong said, unrolling the map onto the table.
"Hey, it's Seoul again!" Chenle exclaimed, referring to the glowing dot on the map, showing where the demigod was located. "That's where Haerin's from."
"Whatever." Haerin replied. "Who's turn is it anyways?"
They all looked towards the board in the corner instead, where Haerin's name was next in line.
