after seeing the present your parents got you ,you go back inside and go to your room after thanking them a few more times.you get into the shower, and wash your face after brushing your teeth.

you do some homework and then decide to call kiyoko. "hello? are you okay? you left pretty fast" she tells you . "yeah i'm fine but, kuroo has a girlfriend"you say.you hear her gasp over the phone. "aw y/n i'm so sorry! do you need anything?" she asks you .

"no i'm fine, i'll be okay. clearly it was a one sided feeling you know? maybe he just wanted to be friends. i'm just going to focus on myself a little i guess"you tell her. "as you should." she tells you. "so ummmmmm, can you meet me here in the morning? so we can walk together?"you ask. "of course" she replies before you both say our goodbyes and hang up.

the next morning,you get up and get dressed in gray sweatpants, and a white champion shirt. "y/n! kiyoko is here!" your mom yells. "send her in please!"you yell back as you lay your edges and then wrap them to set.

kiyoko comes inside and sits on your bed. "so, are we riding in your new car?" she asks. "how'd you know?"you ask. "your mom told me to make sure you don't do anything crazy with it" she replies while laughing.you smile and nod your head. "yeah, i just have to call keishin and let him know we'll carry the stuff in the back and meet him and the others there"you say while grabbing your phone and calling.

after putting on your shoes,you grab your bag, jacket, and keys. "let's go"you say while smiling. you walk out of your room and see your parents sitting down. "drive safe. we'll be there before the game starts" your dad says. "okay, i'll see you guys there then"you reply while waving to them.

me and kiyoko drive to the school to pick up everything from the clubroom before making our way to the sendai gymnasium. "have you had any ideas for posters to find a new manager?"you ask. "no not really" she tells you . "i have one sketched out. i'll show you later"you tell her. she nods.

we finally make it to our destination and see the boys getting off of the bus. "nice ride n/n" keishin says while waving to you guys . "thanks, i got it last night"you reply while smiling and holding the water bottles and first aid kit.

"do you guys have your personal belongings?"you ask while looking at the first years. they nod before you all walk inside. everyone sits down their bags and begins to stretch before getting dressed.you and kiyoko go over to the fountains to fill up the bottles and you hear sho's loud voice. "kenma!" you glance over and see kenma and hinata talking. not too far from them, you see kuroo standing there watching you .

you turn your head and continue filling up the bottles. when you finish, you put them back in the crate and walk back over to the boys. "kenmaaaa" you say while hugging his shoulder. "hey, y/n " he says while looking at you and then back at sho.

you glance at your watch and look at the time. "let's go guys" you tell them. "good luck daichi, suga, and asahi!" you hear. you turn and see your mom and dad waving, while holding hands. you smile at them before waving, as the boys say thanks and turn to keishin as he speaks. "n/n, mr. takeda, you guys all go ahead, i'll just be out here talking to my aunt" he says while looking at you guys.

you nod and you all walk inside the gym. they begin warming up. soon after minutes of warming up, keishin comes back just in time for the game to begin. right off the back, oikawa gets a point by performing a setter dunk.

as the game progresses you write notes and keep personal scores for our team. you go to grab your clipboard with the plays and positions on it and realize it left it in the car. "i'll be back, i left the clipboard in the car" you tell keishin.

he nods and you leave from the gym and outside. as you're walking, you see kuroo out the corner of your eyes leave the gym as well. you sigh and grumble to yourself.

"speak" you mumble as he gets close enough. "y/n? i've been trying to call and text you. listen okay?" he says while grabbing your arm softly for you to turn around. "kuroo you might not have realized this, but i fucking like you-" you say while looking up at him. "i honestly believed that i could possibly have a chance with you but clearly, i was too far gone in my head" you speak out while poking your forehead with your finger before continuing to walk away.

"y/n, i didn't mean to lead you on" he tells you. you stop walking and furrow your eyebrows. "you didn't mean to lead me on? kuroo what the hell were your intentions then? flirt with me 'as a fucking friend'? 'make me feel like you like me back but in reality you have a fucking girlfriend?' come on kuroo you don't do that to a female-" you pause.

"you should've just mentioned that you were in a relationship. i don't like when people sugar coat shit with me-" you speak but get cut off. "-y/n i'm not listening to your bullshit right now. just let me fucking talk!" he exclaims.

"oh you don't wanna hear my bullshit? what makes you fucking think that i want to hear yours?" you ask him as you began walking again. "are you listening?" he asks. you don't say anything and continue walking.

"i'm sorry for yelling. but i was going to tell you. you're not the only one who caught feelings, it was fucking mutual." he says while following you. "but you have a girlfriend kuroo. didn't you ever think to tell me this? you know, all those times we talked on the phone, you staying at my house and me taking care of you when you were sick. those were perfect times to tell me you know" you say.

you make it to your car and kuroo speaks again as you grab the clipboard. "i'm sorry" he says. "i messed up, i'm really sorry" he tells you . "you don't have to be sorry, kuroo. but imagine how your girlfriend is feeling right now. or how she felt when she saw her boyfriend on facetime with another girl, acting suspicious as if i weren't supposed to be seen" you say. he sighs before looking you in your eyes. "y/n..." he trails and you shake your head.

"just limit your communication with me. we weren't dating so i shouldn't feel any type of way. we were just friends, and i caught feelings. something i shouldn't have done. plus, i don't wanna ruin you guys' relationship-" you say.

"-maybe we can still talk, just not everyday like we used to. just give me time" you add as you close the car door before locking it and walking away.
