𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒆𝒏

you watch as the boys get ready to do their signature heartbreak hill run. everyone runs in twos, and you decide to run with sho and kageyama. you guys start and they take off leaving you behind. you shake your head as you keep a steady pace, before starting to add a little speed.

as you guys come running to the end, they keep going past the finish mark. "i've got them, go on ahead" you groan as you continue running after the two. you see them stop in front of a store and you catch up to them.

"what the hell are you guys doing" you ask as you hear them talking about shiratorizawa and ushijima, as he's passing by. you throw your hands on top of your knees and bend over to catch your breath before you hurry and run over to them as you see ushiwaka turn around. "ushi!" you say while hugging him. "hello, y/n" he replies while letting go. "you know ushiwaka!?" sho yells. you turn to look at him and nod.

"anyways, where's everyone else? are they too slow or something?" you ask. "yes" he replies before turning back around. "we came from karasuno!" kageyama says "can we watch you practice?" he adds. "tobio, we have to get ba-" you start but get cut off.

"the school that uses that weird quick attack" ushijima says. you sigh. "do as you please" he adds and begins to run again. you groan and follow behind sho and kageyama, as they follow ushijima.

"this is some bullshit" you mumble as you catch up to ushijima. "watch your mouth y/n" he tells you . "sorry ushi" you mumble as you make it to his academy.

you turn to see if the boys were behind you two and find them running around the parking lot near the volleyball team's bus. "bring y'all asses!" you shout to them. they look at you and come running over as you go to the volleyball gym.

"took you long enough" you hear ushijima say from behind us. you hunch over and, once again, put your hands on your knees and just watch as they talk to each other.

even though ushijima can't help that he's an honest and blunt person, you can't help but feel kind of bad as he talks to them. a ball comes flying out of the gym and ushijima jumps to catch it.

out of the corner of your eye you see a flash of orange, run pass and then jump into the air, grabbing the ball from ushijima's reach. he looked shocked to see sho jump that high.

"i'm hinata shoyo from the concrete, and you will crush you and go to nationals" he says and begins to walk away after giving the ball back to ushijima. you smile widely and a man notices us. "you guys aren't allowed to be here" he says.

"if oikawa is the best setter in the prefecture, then i'm going to be better than him" kageyama says and begins to walk behind sho. "these are my first year boys, hinata shoyo from the concrete, and kageyama tobio; the king of the court" you say while grinning at ushiwaka. you look at his face, before turning to follow behind the two boys, and see his smiling widely as if he's saying he wants to challenge them.

you guys get back to the school and see everyone sitting around ukai and takeda. "go sit down and don't move you idiots" you mumble while ruffling their hair. "the trip to tokyo has been scheduled to take place next month. you'll need parent permission. slips will be passed out next week." takeda says.

"the school has given us permission, but exams start next month as well. if you fail any subjects, supplementary classes will be held on the weekends" he adds. you immediately look at sho, kageyama, noya, and tanaka.

hinata starts freaking out along with the other three boys. "coachhh!" sho yells while grabbing onto ukai. "please teach me!" he yells. you snort before laughing loudly. "does keishin look like the type to have had good grades in school?" you ask while holding your stomach and continuing to laugh.

"shut the hell up you little shit!" keishin says while hitting you . "stop hitting me! i'm telling grandpa" you say to him. "yeah yeah, run to the old man" he says before turning back to sho. "she's right, i didn't have good grades at all. but i'm sure you'll find someone to help" he says while patting his back.

everyone leaves after going to the club room to grab their things as you and kiyoko look to see if anyone turned in any club forms.

the next day, you go around looking around for club members. "y/n! i found a first year student who hasn't signed up for a club yet!" you hear sho yell. you smile and grab the paper. "thanks sho!" you say while smiling down at the paper.

"now go study for your exams, or else i'll make sure you don't get to play" you say to him. he turns around and runs towards his classroom. "thanks again sho! your gonna be the greatest decoy there is!" you yell again as he groans.

the day goes on and the boys begin their studying together in the clubroom. "okay guys, you can't stay here all night" you tell them while tossing a volleyball back and forth to daichi and suga.

tanaka and the other second years make arrangements to go over to his house and you look at the first years. "you guys good?" you ask. "these meat heads aren't going to understand a thing" tsukishima says while pushing his glasses up and walking out of the room with yamaguchi.

sho and kageyama leave behind them begging for help, so now it's just all of you third years together. "hopefully they pass. they can't afford anymore bad grades" you say while grabbing your bag as daichi puts the ball away. "i'm sure they will. have you and kiyoko found a new manager yet?" suga asks.

"actually, yes we have. we're leaving now" you say while smiling and linking your arm with kiyoko's. you drop her off home, before going to your house. you open the door to the empty home, and go straight to your bedroom.

you shower, and put on a sports bra with some nike shorts, before sitting down at your desk to complete some work. "i know i shouldn't do this, but at least i have a heart" you mumble to yourself before grabbing your phone to text kuroo.

you put your phone down and turn it off before he could reply. "i'm so fucking stupid" you mumble to yourself. as you close your books and head to bed.

"hitoka! come meet the other manager" you hear kiyoko say. you look up from your phone and see kiyoko waving over a short haired blonde. you smile as she shyly walks over.

"h-hi! i'm hitoka yachi, but you can call me yachi" she says while bowing. you smile widely. "hi there yachi. i'm iwasaki y/n, but you can just call me y/n" you say back to her. "are you thinking about joining the club?" you add.

she looks unsure so you make a suggestion. "why don't you just try as a trial manager" you say while smiling at the girl. "s-sure!" she replies. "great! we'll stop by your class before practice starts okay?" kiyoko says. she nods and watches as you and kiyoko walk away.

after school ends, you and kiyoko go to the first year's class. after getting her from her class, you guys begin walking to the gym. "don't be shy, you'll be fine" you say while looking over to the blonde hair girl. she nods and you open the gym doors. "guys? can we have a minute?" you ask. they all turn towards you guys. "you found a new person!" sho yells when he sees her.

"what's going on?" suga asks. "um, she's joining the club on a trial basis as the new manager" kiyoko says as you nod your head.

"i-i'm hitoka yachi!"
