after you and kuroo's date, you guys head back to the school where the camp was held. "kuroo, i don't wanna go back" you mumble as you hold onto his shoulders with one hand, and hold the kitten in the other. "it's getting late n/n. and i bet everyone's wondering where we are" he says while tightening his grip under your thighs.

"no they aren't. they're probably asleep" you say while rubbing the kitten. he chuckles and continues to walk. "kuroo, i had fun" you say while yawning. "i'm glad you had fun y/n." he replies. a couple minutes of walking and you get chills. "i'm cold" you mumble. he stops and sits on a bench and puts you on his lap.

"don't tell me you're getting sick" he says teasingly, while taking off his jacket. you laugh and shake your head. "i'll be fine. let's just get back" you mumble as he puts his jacket on you. he stands again, and you jump back on his back.

you guys get back to the school and he takes you back to the room you, yachi, and kiyoko were staying in. you hop off his back and walk towards the door. "let's sneak out tomorrow and get the kitten checked up" you whisper. "why're you whispering. there's no one out here" he says. "but, i'll see what i can do" he adds while knocking on the door to make sure yachi and kiyoko were presentable.

"for now, you need sleep" he says while pulling you into a hug. you nod. "okay" you mumble. he kisses your forehead before the door opens. "your back! noya and hinata came by looking for you" yachi says while moving to the side to let you in.

"i'll see you later, tetsu" you say while waving. "see you then, y/n" he replies while smiling and turning around to leave. "how was your date? is that a cat?!" kiyoko says as you take off your shoes.

"well-" you start.

"i know you don't like dressing up and eating fancy, so we're going to mcdonald's" kuroo tells you. your eyes light up at the mention of your favorite fast food restaurant. "i could eat mcdonald's everyday" you say as you guys walk across the street to the restaurant.

" i'm regretting the choice of food already" kuroo says as you walk inside. "shut up, come on im hungry" you say while pulling him along with you in the line.

you guys order your food and sit down. "i could've paid for my own food" you say while eating your fries. "what the hell kind of date would that be then?" he asks. "i don't know. why'd you ask me on this date anyways?" you ask him.

"because i missed you and wanted to hangout. not as friends but like, something more" he tells you. "hmm" you say while looking up at him while eating a fry. "hmm? elaborate please" he says while looking at you.

"i missed you too. i'm glad you wanted to hangout with me" you tell him. "y'know, despite everything that happened before, your still my friend and i care deeply for you" you add.

"if you love me then just say that" he says while grinning at you. "eat an ass tetsu" you say while rolling your eyes and putting a chicken nugget in your mouth. "i'll eat yours" he mumbles. "noooooo don't say that" you say while covering his mouth with your hand.

"we're in public" you whisper while removing your hand and grabbing his burger. "what are you doing y/n? that's mine" he says while looking at you. "i just wanna bite" you say as he takes a drink from his cup. "this is good" you say while putting his burger down.

"i know, that's why i got it chibi-chan" he says while chuckling. the two of you finish eating a couple of minutes later before getting up to leave and kuroo leads you to a park where a few people were.

as the two of you walk down the trail, you grab his hand. "kuroo?" you ask. "hm?" he replies. "why'd you continue to like, come after me? even after i said i didn't want anything to do with you?" you ask. "well, like i said earlier, i missed you. i don't know why, but our whole relationship is- was- weird. i like it, and i felt like i needed that daily dose of serotonin" he says.

"hm" you say while nodding. you guys continue walking until you see a little playground. "tetsu! push me" you say while running over to the swings and smiling at him. "no thanks" he says while standing in front of you. you pout.

"you're such a child" he says while giving in and pushing you. "does your team ever get into fights?" you ask as he pushed you. "that's random, elaborate for me" he says. "like, two players argue and it turns into a big mess?" you speak. "well, yeah. is it small fry and your setter?" he asks while sitting next to you.

"yeah they had a physical outbreak, a few days before we came here, in front of yachi" you say. "seriously? what about?" he asks. "honestly, i don't know. it frightened me because i never thought they would get horrifyingly physical. i tried to stop it but tanaka interfered and broke it up" you say.

"well, maybe they just lost their connection. you know, it's something that words itself can't fix. it'll come back to them though." he tells you. "i mean, it did for us" he adds. you look at him. "i guess you're right" you say while nodding.

"i'm always right chibi- chan" he says while looking at you. "yeah, yeah, let's go your cocky bastard" you say while standing up and pulling him with you.

you guys began walking down the trail again, stopping to get ice cream. "that cat looks like kenma" you say as you see a small kitten sitting on a bench. "wait, it does" kuroo says while looking at it. "let's keep it" you say while going to pick it up.

"that could be anybody's cat but, i mean, since no one's here, let's take it" he says. once you hear his words, you scoop up the kitten and you guys walk away. "we just stole a fucking cat kuroo. does that make us thief parents?" you ask.

"we didn't steal it. we simply borrowed with no intention of returning" he says while putting an arm around you. "you goof! isn't that the literal definition of stealing?" you ask while laughing. "oh, well i guess we did steal it then" he replies while taking hold of the kitten that was once in your arms.

"we're naming it ken ken" you mumble while looking at it. "we don't even know the gender" he says while staring at you. you gently grab the kitten and look at its underside. "it's a girl" you say while looking at kuroo. "perv" he mumbles.

"i'm not a perv! you're the perv, perv!"

"so you guys found, and stole a cat?" kiyoko asks while holding ken ken. "yes and no. we're borrowing it" you reply as you get the materials you need to bathe. "her name is ken ken because he reminds me of kenma" you add. "ah, okay. so like does that mean your guys are co-parenting this kitten?" she asks again.

you shake your head no. "no, i found her, so the kitten's mine. maybe he can call me to see her though" you say while slipping on some slippers. "i'm going to shower and then find something from the cafeteria to feed her" you add while walking out of the room.

after you shower, you get dressed in athletic shorts and an oversized shirt. you put on your slippers and drop your things back off to the room. "alright ken ken, let's go find you some food" you say while picking her up.

you silently walk to the cafeteria and get water out of the vending machine. "let me find you a bowl" you mumble while walking into the back. you find her a bowl and a little bit of white rice. after gathering everything, you walk into the hallways and sit down.

"y/n? woah is that a cat?!" you hear. you look up and see hinata. "shhh" you say while waving him over. "her name's ken ken" you tell him as she eats the rice. "is it because she's the same color as kenna's hair?" he asks while rubbing her. you nod. "yep. me and kuroo found her on a bench" you tell him as she walks towards him.

"she's pretty" he mumbles. "-but she could also be like, infected with diseases and shit. you should get her checked up" he adds. "i know that hinata. what're you doing up anyway? aren't you tired?" you ask. "i had to use the bathroom" he replies. you nod. "well, i'm going to bed okay?" you say while standing. he nods and you leave him while he goes to the bathroom.
