The Fear of Giving up

If I start to let you go,

If there's something you don't know,

If I give you back your toys,

If my look gives off no joy,

You can see it in my eyes,

Not a single tear to cry,

Not an ounce of sorrow,

No regret left for tomorrow,

There's a thing you need to know,

Something making me just so,

You should hold on to me tight,

I may not make it through the night,

Don't accept my offering,

Try to make me smile,

Or maybe if I cry,

I'll choose not to say goodbye,

Hold me close to heart,

Mend my pieces back to start,

And if you see me cry,

Darling, you just saved my light.
