𝙝𝙖𝙪𝙣𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪- 𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙭 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙧

Kyle and Alex walked along the streets of Hollywood. The sidewalks were packed with tourists, locals and people dressed as celebrities and characters.

Alex hadn't talked much, he was just thinking about everything.
'Sooo...' Kyle began with his hands shoved in his pockets. 'Do you want to talk?'
'What about?' Alex asked, clearly trying to avoid talking.
'What's on your mind. You seem really stressed and if you need to get anything off your chest then I'm here, man.' Kyle said understandingly.

'Umh yeah, thanks.' Alex looked at Kyle and smiled.
The two walked along the street, Kyle admiring the glimmering lights while Alex just looked at the ground, hands shoved in the pockets of his hoodie.

'I missed this place.' Kyle sighed as he walked.
'Yeah, me too.'
Another silence fell between the two as Kyle trudged his feet along the pavement.

'Sooo...' Alex began a conversation.
'You got to see your mom?'
'Umh, yeah I did. It was only for like two minutes before I left but it was nice seeing her.' Kyle looked at the taller boy.

'Oh. Yeah that sounds really nice. I'm happy you got to give her the letter. Must of been nice getting the closure on whatever.'

'Oh yeah. It was one of those things where I expected a totally different outcome because of how she was when I was alive but... it was good. How about you? Have you thought of seeing your parents?' Kyle asked

'I dunno. I wasn't on great terms with them when I, y'know, so I'm not sure if I'm ready to really do that yet.' Alex admitted to him.
'Oh yeah, that's completely understandable. I'm sorry that you weren't on better terms with your parents.' Kyle smiled.

'Thanks. Yeah they were really not accepting. After I came out they just kinda... never really looked at me the same. Like I wasn't really their son anymore.' Alex began to get sad at the memories o his parents.
'Oh my, that's horrible. My mom wasn't really the most open-minded person ever when I was alive. She kept thinking me and my best friend Ally were dating, like wow, okay. She tried to get me with any girl in a five mile radius while I was there like...' Kyle began to talk in a slightly hushed voice
'Mommmm, I'm gay. I never told her that because I was too scared and she was always kinda 'traditional', but hey, maybe yours are like her and ,y'know, changed'

'You're gay?' Was all that came out of Alex's mouth.
'Umh... yeah. Sorry I just kinda put that out there, wow. You're the first person I've told in words, except for Ally who actually already knew, that I'm gay so... oh wow, yeah.' Kyle nodded his head a bit as the two stopped walking.

'I feel very very honoured.' Alex raised his hands that were in his pockets.
'Umh, yeah as you should.' The smaller boy scoffed. 'And just so you know. Even if your parents weren't great. You're always gonna have your chosen family.'
'Yeah, thanks.' Alex gave Kyle a little smile as the two started walking again.

There was a woman taking a selfie with two people dressed as ghost busters, Kyle wasn't really paying attention but Alex spotted them.
'Ky- Kyle.' He whispered, grabbing the smaller boys arm.
'What is it?' He asked worriedly.
'Ghostbusters.'
'Huh?' The Kestell boy asked.
'There! There's ghostbusters!' Alex said as they were walking towards the two ghosts.
'Umh...' Kyle began, knowing that they weren't real.
'Oh no.' Alex grabbed Kyle as the two approached them.

Kyle was held tight to Alex's chest and the taller boys arms around him.
The people in costumes walked right through them, which was clearly a huge relief to Alex, who was still squishing Kyle.

Kyle looked up at Alex, as Alex looked at Kyle at the same time.
Alex quickly let Kyle go and stepped back slightly.
'Umh... sorry. I've no clue why I did that.'
'Oh no, don't worry about it. Your hugs are great!' Kyle said.
The two boys just keep walking.

The silence among them was comfortable, and even though it was a stressful time, it was a good one
